Synopsis

The episode begins with SpongeBob and Patrick playing a board game in an obnoxious manner, to the dismay of Squidward. While the two are talking about whether the game is ripe or not, Squidward tells them people make games and that Patrick would be incapable of making one.

Patrick starts to think of several game ideas, but Squidward doesn't enjoy them very well. When he goes to Sandy for help, she tells him he should take several board games he knows and smash them into one big board game. Patrick does exactly that, and creates a board game called Patrick! The Game.

Patrick gets SpongeBob, Sandy, and Squidward to play the game with him. He explains the rules, but after awhile, Squidward gets annoyed and tells him he should explain the rules as they play. They start playing, but as the game goes on, Squidward is constantly in harm due to the game.

After awhile, Squidward gets sick of the game due to how random it is and quits. However, the other players come outside with him and continue playing the game. Squidward gets so angry that he smashes the board to pieces, only to end up getting arrested by the police.

Errors

TicTacError

X's and O's are missing, as well as the "Galley Grub" and "Order Here" signs.

  • During the scene in which Patrick shows Squidward how to play Tic Tac and Squidward beats him, the Xs and Os drawn on the papers disappear right before the bubble transition.
    • The writing on the "Galley Grub" and "Order Here" signs disappear as well before the bubble transition.
  • Squidward should have been able to get out of jail the second time when Patrick said "Jail for Squidward!," as he could leave jail if someone said his name.
  • The button Patrick uses to raise his game right after creating it disappears in the next shot.
  • After Patrick made the rule regarding the person in jail, it should've been his turn, but the turn goes to Sandy.

Running gags

  • Squidward being sent to a cardboard jail by Patrick.
  • Patrick making new rules.
