Synopsis
The episode begins with SpongeBob and Patrick playing a board game in an obnoxious manner, to the dismay of Squidward. While the two are talking about whether the game is ripe or not, Squidward tells them people make games and that Patrick would be incapable of making one.
Patrick starts to think of several game ideas, but Squidward doesn't enjoy them very well. When he goes to Sandy for help, she tells him he should take several board games he knows and smash them into one big board game. Patrick does exactly that, and creates a board game called Patrick! The Game.
Patrick gets SpongeBob, Sandy, and Squidward to play the game with him. He explains the rules, but after awhile, Squidward gets annoyed and tells him he should explain the rules as they play. They start playing, but as the game goes on, Squidward is constantly in harm due to the game.
After awhile, Squidward gets sick of the game due to how random it is and quits. However, the other players come outside with him and continue playing the game. Squidward gets so angry that he smashes the board to pieces, only to end up getting arrested by the police.

Trivia
General
- This episode marks the fifth time Squidward gets sent to jail. The first was in "Good Ol' Whatshisname," the second was in "Professor Squidward," the third was in "Fiasco!," and the fourth was in "Squid Defense." Ironically, two months after this episode aired in January 2016, Rodger Bumpass, who voices Squidward, was arrested in Burbank, California for driving under the influence. Bumpass was released a few days later on bail and didn't lose his job.
- This episode premiered twelve years after Friends Forever was released, ten years after "Have You Seen This Snail?" premiered, five years after "The Great Patty Caper" premiered, four years after "A SquarePants Family Vacation" premiered, and two years after "SpongeBob You're Fired" premiered.
