Patchy the Pirate's World of Rare and Rejected SpongeBob Clips was an old stand-up show starring Patchy the Pirate, featured in the episode "Truth or Square."
Role in episode[]
In this presentation, Patchy, inside a whale's belly, plays an old tape where he shows clips from Nickelodeon that were originally going to appear in SpongeBob SquarePants but never did. He first shares how SpongeBob was first made up in someone's mind and then when he was evolved in a primitive rendering, plus his many changes, faces, and fangs. Then he reveals that SpongeBob was originally not going to be the main character. So he shows rejected theme songs of Squidward, Patrick, and Mr. Krabs, to make one understand why he eventually was picked.
He tells the fans that they were pretty cruddy so then he shows the song "Rubber Hose Rag" from the 1940s, but during that, the film reel gets messed up, destroying the full tape.
