Synopsis[]

Parasite Pals 074

Paris introduces himself to SpongeBob.

At breakfast one day, SpongeBob is the only one who can stomach Plankton's disgusting food. It ends up giving him a newly-hatched parasite in his body, leading him to feel stomach pain, then extreme hunger. Sandy takes him to Nurse Helga, who uses an X-ray and finds the parasite in his body. While Helga realizes the parasite will only become a bigger problem over time, SpongeBob thinks it is cute and befriends it, escaping just before Helga can remove it.

SpongeBob takes the parasite around camp, where he gives it a name: Paris. Paris frustrates Patrick by stealing and eating his sandwich behind SpongeBob's back. When SpongeBob relaxes in the lake, Paris steals all the food from nearby campers, including Squidward. They go hang gliding, where Paris crashes into Narlene and Nobby's shack to steal their pie and Sugar Squeeze. At this point, Paris has grown to be much larger and rampages around camp to eat more of Plankton's food.

Parasite Pals 181

Nurse Helga catches Paris.

Sandy demands that Plankton cure SpongeBob of his parasite, since it was Plankton's cooking that caused the problem. Plankton goes inside SpongeBob's body and tries to hunt Paris down, but gets trapped. During the commotion, Helga climbs in herself and captures Paris. SpongeBob tearfully says goodbye to him, and while Helga wants to kill Paris, SpongeBob comes up with another use for him: having him eat Plankton's leftover scraps as a replacement for his broken garbage disposal.
