The Old Reporters' Row is an alley in Bikini Bottom where former TV reporters reside that appears in the episode "Smartificial Intelligence."

Description[]

It is a dirty alley filled with garbage and makeshift TV reporter props made from discarded items. Here, news agents who have ended their careers in the news industry find shelter. Former reporters such as Incidental 95, Gale Doppler, the announcer fish, Gene Scallop, Bob Preflumster, Barbara, Ben Blenny, the official, the anchor fish, and for a time, even Perch Perkins, can be found here.

Role in episode[]

After being fired from Bikini Bottom Television, Perch Perkins goes here to find refuge. SpongeBob follows him, but as he passes through the alley, reporters emerge from everywhere, trying to interview him. SpongeBob escapes from them and spots Perch in a corner burning magazines, encouraging him to leave and find another job.
