The octopus vendor[1] is an octopus who works at the Snack Bar. He appears in the episodes "Walking Small," "Say Awww!," "Buff for Puff," "Don't Make Me Laugh," and in the rough storyboard of "SpongeBob's Place."
Description[]
He is a light purple octopus with dark purple lips and pink cheeks. He wears a white chef's hat and a light green bow tie.
Role in series[]
"Walking Small"[]
He is seen at the Snack Bar selling hot dogs to customers at Goo Lagoon. Plankton tells SpongeBob to "assert" himself to get to the front of the line. SpongeBob then stretches his tongue to steal the hot dogs out of the octopus vendor's tentacles, causing his customers to leave the Snack Bar, disappointed.
Near the end of the episode, SpongeBob extends his tongue and returns the hot dogs he stole to the octopus vendor's customers, who then eat them. The octopus vendor then changes the "closed" sign at the Snack Bar to "open."
"SpongeBob's Place"[]
In the rough storyboard, he appeared with Incidental B37, Incidental 46 and another fish. In the finished episode, he was replaced by the octopus dude.
"Say Awww!"[]
He appears as one of the characters in the pyramid trying to escape Q.T.-π.
"Buff for Puff"[]
He is seen serving ice cream at Goo Lagoon.
"Don't Make Me Laugh"[]
He runs the concession stand at Reef Cinema, and gives SpongeBob two combos after he orders them.
Trivia[]
- In "Walking Small," he is shown to be the same height as the fish he is serving, but in "Say Awww!," he is shown to be a lot shorter.
- Incidental 206 also has this same quirk of appearing a lot shorter in later episodes.
