Ninjellies are characters that appear as enemies in the video game The Cosmic Shake.

Description

Ninjellies are tiny purple creatures that resemble sea urchins, being round in shape and having four spikes protruding from their little bodies. They have a mouth on the bottom of their body, and they wear a red headband just above their eyes.

Role in game

Ninjellies are semi-common enemies that first appear in Karate Downtown Bikini Bottom, and can be found in most of the game's other levels. When they detect SpongeBob, they chase after him, and once they get close enough, they curl up into a ball and roll forwards at a very fast speed, requiring SpongeBob to move out of the way to avoid being hit.

Ninjellies are normally immune to all types of attack; the only way to defeat one is to stun it with a Karate Kick and then attack it before it recovers. Alternatively, a Ninjelly can also get stunned if it bumps into an obstacle or another enemy while rolling. They drop four jellies when defeated.

Trivia

• The name Ninjelly is a portmanteau of the words "ninja" and "jelly."
• The Cosmic Shake has an achievement called Hazardous that can be earned by defeating 25 Ninjellies with environmental hazards (in other words, tricking them into rolling into Thunder Tikis or bottomless pits).
