Nick Scene It? is a Nickelodeon board game that was released in 2006 and has the same gameplay as any Scene It? game, but with Nick clips and trivia. SpongeBob (with a top hat) appears as a playable piece, along with Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Angelica Pickles from All Grown Up!, and Cosmo and Wanda from The Fairly OddParents (in the form of a plant).

Gameplay[]

Each player must roll 2 dice, a 6-sided number die, and an 8-sided challenge die. The 8-sided die has 7 different categories: all play (2 sides), slime card, my play, silly and slimed, peeps and pads, pick and flick, and UR turn. The numbered die decides how many spots you must move. If the player lands on a turbo nick and the player gets their trivia card/all play/my play right, the player moves twice the spaces.

The player in charge of the DVD remote is referred to as the "DVD Slime Master" and controls the DVD options.

My Play[]

When a My Play is rolled, the DVD Slime Master must select My Play from the DVD menu and answer the question given. Only the rolling player can answer a My Play question. Answering correctly allows them to take another turn; if they answer incorrectly, the play passes to the next player.

All play[]

When an All Play is rolled, the DVD Slime Master must select All Play from the DVD menu and answer the question given. All players have to participate in an All Play question. If the rolling player answers correctly, they take another turn; if the rolling player misses but another player answers correctly, they can choose to either move their piece one space or give the rolling player a Slime card. If multiple players guess correctly, the DVD Slime Master selects Tiebreakers from the menu and follows further instructions.

Trivia cards[]

If a trivia card challenge is rolled, the player next to the rolling player reads the appropriate question on the trivia card and the DVD Slime Master selects Timer on the DVD menu to start the timer. The rolling player has until the timer runs out to answer correctly. Answering correctly allows them to take another turn; if they answer incorrectly, the play passes to the next player.

Winning[]

All Play to Win[]

When a player lands on the space labelled "Stop - All Play to Win" at the end of the game path, they must stop there no matter what number they rolled. The DVD Slime Master selects All Play to Win from the DVD menu which starts up an All Play to Win challenge, and all players must participate as if it were a regular All Play challenge.

After the challenge, the game will ask if the rolling player won the challenge. If the rolling player answers correctly, the DVD Slime Master selects "Yes" and the rolling player advances right to the winner's circle on the gameboard and wins the game. If the rolling player missed or another player wins the challenge, the DVD Slime Master selects "No" and the rolling player advances to the outer circle of the Final Cut ring. The player who won the challenge then has the decision of whether to move their piece three spaces or give another player a slime card.

Final Cut[]

When a player is on the Final Cut ring, on their turn, the DVD Slime Master selects Final Cut on the game menu and selects the numbered ring corresponding to the number the rolling player is on. The rolling player then has to answer one, two, or three questions in a row correctly depending on the number they are on; each question plays out like a regular My Play challenge. After each question, the game will ask if the player got it right. If they did, the DVD Slime Master selects "Yes" and they win the game. If not, the DVD Slime Master selects "No" and the player moves one ring in until their next turn. This repeats until the player successfully completes a Final Cut challenge.

Types of challenges[]

  • Video clips - A clip from an episode of a Nickelodeon is shown, and the player has to answer the question that follows.
  • Cliffhanger - A clip from an episode of a Nickelodeon is shown, and the player has to answer what a character says after the clip.
  • Quick Nick - A series of pictures of various Nickelodeon characters zip by one after the other, and the player has to remember everything and answer the question at the end guessing what three characters correspond to the description.
  • Invisibles - A character has their body digitally removed from the image and the player has to identify who they are.
  • Slimebucket - A character is getting slimed and the player has to guess who they are.
  • Grosser Than Gross - The player has to define a word corresponding to the three live-action images presented to them.
  • Funhouse Mirror - The player has to name the character whose picture is distorted.
  • Spellbinders - The player has to guess the character, place, or thing out of the puzzle shown as their letters pop up one at a time.
  • What's Different - A scene from a Nicktoon is shown with an alteration in the bottom, and the player has to guess it.
  • Feature Attraction - A character's facial element is displayed and the player has to identify which Nickelodeon character has them.
  • Misfits - Four Nickelodeon characters are shown and the player has to identify which one of them does not fit in with the others.
  • Did You Hear That? - A character's voice clip is played, and the player has to identify who is speaking.
