NickSpongeBob is a 24 hour television channel in the UK and Ireland that aired a variety of episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants, The Patrick Star Show, and Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years. It occasionally replaces NickToons for a month.
Additionally, it also occasionally aired episodes of The Loud House.[1]
History[]
The channel was first announced in July 2022 on a press release,[2] to temporarily replace Nicktoons UK and Ireland, similar to how Nick Jr. Too changed into Nick Jr. Peppa in August and Nick Jr. PAW Patrol in September. The channel officially launched on September 1, 2022 at 6:00am.[3]
The channel was closed and rebranded as NickHorrid Henry on October 1, 2022.[4]
The channel relaunched on March 1, 2023 on 6:00am.[5]
The channel also relaunched on May 29, 2023 at 6:00am.[6]
The channel also relaunched on July 31, 2023 as part of an event called "Summer of Sponge".[7]
The channel relaunched on November 27, 2023[8] and closed on January 2, 2024.[9]
The channel relaunched on April 1, 2024 using the Christmas-themed branding from 2023.[10][11] This was fixed on April 2, 2024.[12] On April 15, 2024, the channel aired Dora.[13] The channel closed on May 1, 2024.[14]
The channel relaunched on July 19, 2024, this retired the old NickSpongeBob logo from September 2022, and it has a splat logo like the Nickelodeon logo in 2023 and has a new SpongeBob logo on it and the one of the Os in the NickSpongeBob logo is now pineapple shaped.[15] The channel closed on September 2, 2024.[16]
