New Karen was a large mech created by Sheldon J. Plankton in Plankton: The Movie.
Description[]
New Karen consists of Karen's original body for her head, which rests upon a tank-like body made of bronze. She has big bronze arms with big blue gloves for hands. The body's chest contains a core where a potato is inserted to power her. The lower part of the body has a long copper cylinder, where a metal tube inserted into a pink roller skate is connected.
Personality[]
New Karen is naive, eager, and impressionable.
Role in movie[]
After Karen decides to do his world domination plans full solo, Plankton teams up with SpongeBob to try to stop her. But since Plankton forgotten everything about his past, SpongeBob decided to psychoanalyze him so that he could figure out what went wrong with their relationship and then use it to get back them together and save the town. However, in actuality, Plankton wasn't interested in reconciling with Karen nor saving Bikini Bottom. Instead, he was more interested in getting revenge on her for purposely "betraying him". So, Plankton lies to SpongeBob and pretends to go along with the plan.
They head to Plankton's old university to find the various parts from her original body. Then they went to the basement of the Chum Bucket where Plankton builds a new Karen out of the old parts in an attempt to have the two Karens fight. But instead of fighting as Plankton hoped they would, they ended up dancing together. Shocked and confused at this sudden outcome, Plankton demanded to know what happened. But Smart Karen simply explained that since he made New Karen out of Karen's original body, they are one and the same, which result in the robots fusing into one massive, destructive robot. This forces Plankton and SpongeBob to evacuate from them again.
Because of that, and after seeing Bikini Bottom completely gone, SpongeBob realizes it was Plankton’s fault for causing the mess, and he berates Plankton for being a jerk, and runs away sobbing as Plankton starts to feel guilt for his actions. As Plankton sings his own song after realizing what he did, he gets encountered by the Super Karens who mock him for having made them indestructible as they tried to kill him with Plankton admitting his possible demise at the cost. However, SpongeBob and the Gal Pals come in to rescue him.
Evil Karen wants to go after them, but Snarky tells her to let them escape. When Evil asks why, Smart explains that Plankton living with his failures would be a fate worse than death, and they already have everything they need for their battle station.
The Gal Pals and the duo embark on a mission to help Plankton make amends. Meanwhile, the Hydra Karens discuss their plan while experimenting on potatoes. Karen dispatches the Hydra Karens and New Karen to take down the Gal Pals. The heroes are confronted by the Karens, with Karen ordering their destruction. New Karen attempts to kill them without Smart Karen's approval but is destroyed in the process.
