N*E*R*D, an acronym of No-One Ever Really Dies, is a music group that consists of Pharrell Williams, Shay Haley, and Chad Hugo. They created three songs for The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.
The band was originally formed in 1999 by Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo originally for side projects and producing music for several artists through the 1990s and the 2000s, and are best known for their albums "In Search Of...", "Fly or Die," alongside others. The band originally disbanded in 2005, but reformed in 2008. In 2014, they produced three songs during the production for Sponge Out of Water, "Squeeze Me," (which was used for SpongeBob and Plankton's time travel scene and the film's end credits) "Patrick Star," and "Sandy Squirrel."
