The Mystery Store[1] is an emporium owned by an old Klopnodian man. It appears in the episode "You're Going to Pay...Phone."

Description[]

Exterior[]

The building is a dark green chest with gold trim, and it has three lamps on it. On top, there is a handle and a buckle that's frame is a window. It has a total of five windows and a door with stairs, which is accessed through a stone path.

Interior[]

The interior looks old-fashioned. The walls, floor, and ceiling are all made of wood. Inside, there are cabinets and shelves that are packed with all sorts of items.

Role in episode[]

Mr. Krabs sees a quarter rolling in front of him and starts chasing it, but it goes into the Mystery Store. The quarter bounces off a loose floorboard and lands in a payphone. Mr. Krabs tries to retrieve it from there, while the owner appears and offers him items from his store. Mr. Krabs needs the payphone with the quarter inside, so the old man gives it to him for free but warns him about the curse that's inside it.
