Mrs. Tentacles is Squidward's mother. She is voiced by Rodger Bumpass and first appears in the episode "Fools in April."
Description
In the episode "Fools in April," she has puffy white hair, turquoise skin, and long eyelashes, but no wrinkles. In "Krusty Towers," her first physical appearance, she has light purple hair, glasses, gold earrings, a pink gown and slippers, and looks older. This is also her current appearance.
Personality
Mrs. Tentacles seems to like baking cookies as seen in the episode "Krusty Towers." She also appears to be very friendly, although in "Fools in April" she was rude to Squidward in his hallucination. She is married to Jeff Tentacles, although it is presumed that the two are divorced as she appears to live alone and Jeff is shown to be alive in Hooray for Dads!
Residence
Mrs. Tentacles resides in an Moai Easter Island head similar to Squidward's; the only difference is that her home has womanish curly hair as seen in the episodes "Krusty Towers" and "Scavenger Pants."
Role in series
"Fools in April"
Mrs. Tentacles first appears in Squidward's hallucination, where she yells at Squidward.
"Krusty Towers"
She makes her first live appearances in this episode because Squidward wants cookies like his mother used to make. After Squidward gets his mother's cookies, Squidward replies "If only Mom was a better cook."
"Ghost Host"
The Flying Dutchman takes the form of Mrs. Tentacles' head to haunt Squidward by repeating the phrase "Why haven't you called me?" over and over as a way of torture to Squidward.
"Little Yellow Book"
Gary chews up a picture of her.
"Company Picnic"
She appears in a picture.
"Sportz?"
She appears in the bleachers during Squidward's and Sandy's basketball game, where Sandy tells Squidward to take his complaining to his mother. He turns to his mother who tells him that she does not want to hear Squidward complaining about Sandy's basketball shot.
"Scavenger Pants"
She tells SpongeBob and Patrick that Squidward is an only child because she felt that one child was enough. At the end, she adopts SpongeBob and Patrick so Squidward will now have two brothers.
SpongeBob SquarePants musical
She is heavily implied to be deceased.
