Character

Mr. Sun (also referred to as Smilin' Sun) is a version of the sun that has a face. There have been seven incarnations of this character. One appears in "Procrastination," another appears in "Best Day Ever" and "Sold!," one appears in "SpongeHenge," another appears in "Plankton's Good Eye," and others appear in "Sandy's Nutmare," "Stair Wars," "Uncredible Journey," "Sandy, Help Us!," "Star-Robics" and "Bad Luck Bob" with SpongeBob-like characteristics.

Description[]

"Procrastination"[]

This version of Mr. Sun only has a simple drawn-on face. It does not move or talk.

"Best Day Ever"/"Sold!"[]

This version is round, yellow, and orange, and has a smile.

"SpongeHenge"[]

This version has the face of Dee Bradley Baker.

"Plankton's Good Eye"[]

"Sandy's Nutmare"[]

It is light yellow, square, and resembles SpongeBob.

"Stair Wars"/"Uncredible Journey"[]

It has freckles, bucked-teeth, and eyelashes, similar to SpongeBob's.

"Sandy, Help Us!"[]

It is yolk yellow with transparent gradient orange rays. It also has eyelashes, a singular tooth, pale banana yellow arms and a cowboy hat with a red stripe.

"Star-Robics"[]

Similar to "Uncredible Journey"'s, but without the cheeks.

"Bad Luck Bob"[]

Similar to "Best Day Ever" / "Sold!," but with teeth, and his mouth color is lighter. Plus, his pupils is fully black.

"Procrastination"[]

Mr. Sun appears when SpongeBob looks out the window and sees a bunch of townspeople and his friends playing on a playground, with the sun in the corner. This occurs when SpongeBob is procrastinating on writing his essay.

"Best Day Ever"[]

Mr. Sun appears during SpongeBob's happy song at the beginning.

"SpongeHenge"[]

Mr. Sun appears in the sky, telling SpongeBob it is time for work, with a live-action face.

"Squid's Visit"[]

Mr. Sun is drawn on SpongeBob's note to Squidward.

"Plankton's Good Eye"[]

Mr. Sun appears in Jellyfish Fields.

"Sold!"[]

Mr. Sun appears during Squidward's happy song.

"Sandy's Nutmare"[]

Mr. Sun appears in the Shalmon's story about how a star was "able to keep the sun and the moon happy without wearing himself out" to Sandy, SpongeBob, and Patrick.

"Bad Luck Bob"[]

Mr. Sun is seen when SpongeBob approaches Squidward while at the Krusty Krab.

The Patrick Star Show[]

"Stair Wars"[]

Mr. Sun is seen in the beginning of the episode as it wakes up tired, pours some coffee from the Star house, and becomes energized for the day.

"Uncredible Journey"[]

Mr. Sun is seen in the beginning of the episode as it wakes up playing the violin.

"Star-Robics"[]

When Patrick is exercising, he says he feels the burn, points at the Sun, and says "This guy gets it!" The sun recoils in fear, asking Patrick not to hurt him.

"Patty Poo"[]

The sun is among the audience cheering for Patty Poo.
