The mother-in-law is a whale who appears in the episodes "High Sea Diving," "Say Awww!", and "The Flower Plot."

Description

She is a very large elderly purplish-gray whale with dark purple liver spots. She has gray fins and plum lips and wears a light pink dress with a purple skirt. She also wears a cream colored hat with a yellow flower and white high heels. She even has some hair strands on her body.

Role in series

"High Sea Diving"

When Teen 15 and her husband visit the site of their new home, the husband confesses that he could only afford the door. Then, a large car pump from the Great Pacific garbage patch falls into the place of their new home, making it their new house. Teen 15 tells her husband that there is now enough room for her mother to stay with them, much to the husband's dismay.

"Say Awww!"

She appears as one of the people in the pile trying to escape Q.T.-π.

"The Flower Plot"

She buys flowers from Petunia.

Trivia

• She is significantly larger in her debut appearance, being about the same size as a typical Bikini Bottom house. In subsequent appearances, she is small enough to be swallowed whole by Q.T.-π and fit inside the FlowerPot Florist building.
