Location

Monster Island is an island where monsters live that first appears in the online game Monster Island and makes its series debut in "Delivery to Monster Island."

Description[]

It is an island with trees, living monsters, and volcanoes. The island itself is located on the back of a giant sea turtle's shell.

In the online game Monster Island, Monster Island shares some of Sandy's island's design; in the online games Monster Island, Return to Monster Island, and Monster Island Adventures, Monster Island shares some of the Remote Island's design, part of which also appears in the online game Pick-a-Path.

Role in episode[]

When SpongeBob is making a Krabby Patty delivery, SpongeBob gets stranded on the island with Plankton. They survive throughout the island for six years according to Mr. Krabs. Later, SpongeBob and Plankton open The Coco-Hut restaurant and serve coconut patties. When SpongeBob and Plankton leave the island, the island is revealed to be part of a giant turtle's shell. The turtle follows SpongeBob and Plankton to Goo Lagoon and later eats the Krusty Krab.

Monster Island was previously a concept in the online games Monster Island (online game), Return to Monster Island, and Monster Island Adventures, with Monster Island Adventures even being about working together on a delivery to Monster Island (specifically SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and Squidward delivering an order of Krabby Patties to Octavius Rex.)
