A title drop is when an episode's title is mentioned in the episode itself. This is especially common with one-worded episode titles. The following is a list of title drops.

- "Help Wanted" - SpongeBob mentions the episode's title when he says "With a Help Wanted sign on the window..."
- "Ripped Pants" - Every time SpongeBob makes a joke about his ripped pants he also references the episode's title.
- "Jellyfishing" - The title is said many times throughout the episode.
- "Plankton!" - The characters shout out Plankton's name throughout the episode.
- "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy" - The characters say the characters' names and the episode's title many times.
- "Pickles" - The characters shout out the the food pickles many times.
- "Hall Monitor" - The title is said many times throughout the episode.
- "Sandy's Rocket" - Patrick mentions the episode’s title when he says, "Is Sandy's Rocket alien proof?"
- "Opposite Day" - Every mention of the holiday is a title drop.
- "F.U.N." - The title is said many times throughout the episode and is also featured in the name of the episode's song, the F.U.N. Song.
- "MuscleBob BuffPants" - Scooter says, "You mean MuscleBob BuffPants? He's in there!"
- "Employee of the Month" - The title is said many times throughout the episode.
- "Scaredy Pants" - SpongeBob is given the taunting nickname Scaredy Pants in this episode.
- "Suds" - SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs, and Patrick say the disease "Suds" many times.
- "Valentine's Day" - The characters shout out the holiday "Valentine's Day" many times throughout the episode.

- "Wormy" - The characters shout out Wormy's name many times throughout the episode.
- "Prehibernation Week" - After agreeing to spend the first day with Sandy before she goes into hibernation, SpongeBob is tired out from sandboarding later that evening, and Sandy happily says the following: "I got to say, I'm impressed with you, SpongeBob! You're makin' this the best Prehibernation Week ever!"
- "Christmas Who?" - When Sandy asks SpongeBob about Christmas, SpongeBob responds with, "Christmas who?"
- "Squirrel Jokes" - The title is said various times throughout the episode when referring to SpongeBob's jokes about Sandy.
- "Shanghaied" - In the 15 minute version, Patchy announces the name of the episode, shown on a cue card in his introduction.
- "Jellyfish Hunter" - The French Narrator concludes his introduction by saying, "And where there is jellyfish, there is the Jellyfish Hunter."

- "Good Neighbors" - SpongeBob and Patrick refer to themselves as good neighbors throughout the episode as the name for their "club."
- "Krusty Towers" - The episode is named after the hotel that Mr. Krabs opens.
- "Karate Island" - The island that Sandy and SpongeBob travel to has the same name as the episode's title.
- "All That Glitters" - While SpongeBob cries on the hospital floor, another SpongeBob appears and says, "All that glitters is not gold."
- "New Leaf" - After Mr. Krabs sees Plankton replaced the Chum Bucket with the Chumporium, he says, "Plankton's turned over a new leaf."
- "Best Day Ever" - SpongeBob's sings for his "best day ever".

- "The Original Fry Cook" - When Jim is first shown in the episode, Mr. Krabs says, "It's Jim, the original fry cook."
- "Waiting" - SpongeBob said "I'm waiting. I'm waiting.", while waiting for his free cereal toy
- "Spy Buddies" - SpongeBob and Patrick shout the episode's title.
- "Boat Smarts" - The episode's title is said multiple times throughout the episode, including in the introduction clip.
- "Money Talks" - Mr. Krabs takes the metaphor "money talks" literally.
- "The Krusty Sponge" - Mr. Krabs renames the Krusty Krab to "The Krusty Sponge" after the critic's appreciation of SpongeBob.
- "Picture Day" - SpongeBob is late for Picture Day in this episode.
- "BlackJack" - SpongeBob thinks his cousin BlackJack has kidnapped his parents.

- “The Executive Treatment” - The Executive Treatment is the name of the sandwich which is mentioned multiple times throughout the episode.
- "Company Picnic" - The episode title is mentioned numerous times throughout.
- "Pull Up a Barrel" - Mr. Krabs says, "Since it looks we're gonna be stuck here for a while, why don't you pull up a barrel, me laddies?"
- "Larry's Gym" - The episode title is mentioned when Larry opens his gym at the beginning.
- "Two Thumbs Down" - One of SpongeBob's thumbs mentions the title when they are about to break.
- "Salsa Imbecilicus" - Plankton first refers to his idiot sauce as this.

- "Sportz?" - The episode's title is mentioned twice. The first time is when SpongeBob and Patrick ask "What's a sportz?" and the second time is when SpongeBob tells Squidward that "[he] must know a lot about sportz."
- "Out of the Picture" - The art appraiser explains the term "out of the picture" to Mr. Krabs by miming hanging himself.

- "Spin the Bottle" - To determine who gets the bottle, SpongeBob decides he, Patrick, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs will play a game of "Spin the Bottle".
- "Don't Feed the Clowns" - The line is said by one of the circus staff when he scolds and warns SpongeBob for attempting to feed food to a clown.
- "My Leg!" - Fred and other characters utter the phrase multiple times throughout the episode.
- "Ink Lemonade" - The name SpongeBob and Patrick gives to their stand and beverage.
- "Shopping List" - The piece of paper Mr. Krabs calls it when SpongeBob is given it that is referred.
- "The Grill is Gone" - The line SpongeBob repeats in one part of the episode after SpongeBob notices the fact that his grill is gone.

- "The Nitwitting" - Patrick and the Empty Head Society members do civic duty in Bikini Bottom that they call "The Nitwitting" and then sing a short song about it.

- "The Ghost of Plankton" - Plankton watches a scary movie and mentions the title before getting the idea of sacrificing himself to get the secret formula.
- "Lighthouse Louie" - After finding a stray snail in the lighthouse, SpongeBob calls it Louie, then he says "Lighthouse Louie."
- "Hiccup Plague" - Perch Perkins reports that there is a "hiccup plague" in Bikini Bottom, and Bubble Bass comes up to say that it is real.

- "Goofy Scoopers" - The episode is named after the robot band prominently featured in the story.
- "The Big Bad Bubble Bass" - Karen tells a fairytale of the same name about Bubble Bass trying to steal a Pigulon action figure from SpongeBob and Patrick.
- "Say Awww!" - The title is said at multiple points.
- "Captain Pipsqueak" - Plankton earns the nickname "Captain Pipsqueak" after joining the League of E.V.I.L.
- "Wallhalla" - Wally refers to the inside of SpongeBob's walls as "Wallhalla."
- "Friendiversary" - SpongeBob mentions the anniversary of his friendship with Squidward as their "Friendiversary."
- "Mandatory Music" - Music cop 1 says to Squidward that he needs to undergo "Mandatory Music" reeducation for his clarinet.
- "Dopey Dick" - The episode is named after the great white jellyfish of the same name.
- "My Friend Patty" - SpongeBob says "Auditions are now open to eat my friend Patty."
- "FUN-Believable" - The name of the show hosted by Rube in the episode.
