History[]
Lemuria was once an ancient civilization in a sandcastle-like place, held together by a sculpture known as the Sphere Laser Dichotomy in its most sacred room. Its original inhabitants were the Lemurians, who possessed highly advanced technology and at some point created janitor bots. Then, a great disaster struck, causing all the Lemurians to disappear, leaving only the robots behind. After this, the robots maintained the civilization’s technology and culture for a couple of millennia. In modern times, the site became a ruin functioning as a tourist attraction, but it was eventually completely destroyed, leaving the robots without a place to live before they found work as cleaners at the Krusty Krab.

SpongeBob and Sandy visit the Lemurian ruins and explore its caverns, where SpongeBob finds a lever and pulls it, creating a portal. After passing through a twisted square-shaped hole, they arrive in a room where Sandy activates a machine that assembles cleaning robots. The robots take them to Lemuria’s most sacred place, where they recount their history. However, SpongeBob touches the statue that holds the room together, causing the entire structure to collapse. Two days later, SpongeBob and Sandy crawl out from under the ruins and, upon seeing the now-homeless robots, SpongeBob makes them work as janitors at the Krusty Krab.
