Katie Smith is a SpongeBob SquarePants crew member who worked a storyboard artist on the spin-off movies Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie and Plankton: The Movie.
Biography[]
Katie Smith attended William & Mary from 2004 to 2007 and received a bachelor's degree in fine arts, before attending the University of Southern California from 2015 to 2018 to receive her master's degree. She currently teaches at the latter as a part-time professor. Smith worked in the animation field since 2008, working at Blue Sky Studios until 2015, particularly on Rio, Epic, Ice Age: Continental Drift, and Ice Age: Collision Course. She was also a storyboard artist on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse before joining Nickelodeon Animation in 2021 to work on the two SpongeBob spin-off movies and The Casagrandes Movie.
