Karate Island is a SpongeBob SquarePants July 18 , 2006 and it contains only seven episodes from season 4 . It is based on the episode of the same name .

This is the first karate-themed DVD. The second is Extreme Kah-Rah-Tay .
This DVD was re-released twice in Australia.
This is the first SpongeBob DVD to have a PG rating from the BBFC, due to the comic violence in "Karate Island" and frightening scenes in "Ghost Host ."
Despite "Karate Island" being the focus of this DVD, it is actually the sixth episode on this DVD. The same thing happens with the Whale of a Birthday DVD .
Beginning with this DVD, there are no longer VHS counterparts due to the fact that VHS was discontinued in 2006 .
"New Leaf " was released on this DVD 2 months before premiering on TV on September 22 , 2006 . Errors The cover. (Downright corner) Note Nick Jr. DVD logo instead of the Nick DVD logo.
On the Australia release for unknown reasons, the disc reads "Nick Jr. DVD" instead of "Nick DVD."
