The Jumbo Shrimp is an enemy of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. He first appears in the episode "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy II."

Description[]

In "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy II" and the video games, he is a large, muscular pink shrimp with a brown fin and tail. He has four arms, a pair of red eyes on stalks, black eyebrows, and gritted teeth. He wears only a pair of purple swim briefs as clothing. His back is red.

From "The Bad Guy Club for Villains" onwards, he has gotten a redesign and now more closely resembles a shrimp. He is currently a muscular red shrimp with a pair of spiky antennae, two clawed arms, four legs, and a long striped tail with spikes on the end. He wears a blue mask and a blue belt with a black buckle.

In "Captain Pipsqueak," his mask and belt are green, and he now wears a white shirt, likely to differentiate him from Man-Ray.

Superpowers[]

The Jumbo Shrimp has super strength, which he can use to toss opponents away or to throw objects at them. The TV narrator once described him as "the most powerful of all crustaceans."

Once at the Chum Bucket, Karen tells him that the Jumbo Shrimp came in and took Plankton as part of a scheme to shrink Bikini Bottom, and that he should see the Flying Dutchman. The Dutchman tells him that the two are on the Sea Needle and that a pass is needed to get there.

After getting a pass from Mr. Krabs, the Yellow Avenger confronts the Jumbo Shrimp, who reveals that Plankton helped him build a shrink ray to shrink Bikini Bottom. The Jumbo Shrimp then becomes the game's second boss, and will start throwing crates at the Yellow Avenger. The hero has to use his super strength to pick up crates and throw them at the shrink ray's three power switches to break the shields, before throwing waterballs at the switches to turn them off, ruining the Jumbo Shrimp's plan.

When the Jumbo Shrimp is defeated, he remarks that he will return to get revenge. He then leaves Bikini Bottom, causing the next part of the game to start.

He appears as one of the many minions hired by Plankton to stop SpongeBob, and he first appears in the third level of the game's fourth map, Atlantis Park. He has 60 health and 50 energy points, and his attack is a two-handed uppercut that does 60 damage to SpongeBob. Occasionally, two or more Jumbo Shrimps will appear in the same level.
