Character

Incidental 39[1], also known as Lou Sr.[2], is a fish who first appears in the episode "Ripped Pants." His incidental type is currently unknown.

Names

Description

He is a light orange fish with a light tan underside and dark blue fins, legs and dorsal fin. He wears a white, messy apron and a dark white shirt and a white hat. In his debut, "Ripped Pants," his underside was originally colored dark blue.

Lou Sr.

He is a 1930's cartoon style variant of Incidental 39. He wears a collared shirt with a bow tie over an apron with stains on it. He also wears pants, a pair of shoes, and his signature hat.

Role in series

Hey, don't you want a free balloon?!

Incidental 39 makes more major appearances than minor ones. He is normally portrayed as a fish with a job, most commonly as a vendor. He does however make a few appearances as a silent background character among other incidentals. He was firstly designed to be an ice cream vendor at Goo Lagoon.

"Ripped Pants"

He appears as an ice cream vendor at Goo Lagoon where he was unamused by SpongeBob's stale ripped pants puns.

"Walking Small"

He appears as an ice cream vendor at Goo Lagoon where SpongeBob tries to purchase an ice cream cone from him, unfortunately for SpongeBob Incidental 103 and Eel have bought the last of his ice cream cones.

"Neptune's Spatula"

He appears as a hotdog vendor at the Fry Cook Museum where King Neptune assumes that he is the chef that pulled his spatula out of the greasy griddle, though he then replies to him that he didn't make the hotdogs, he just sells them.

"Life of Crime"

He appears as a balloon vendor where SpongeBob and Patrick believe they "stole" a balloon from him, being unaware that it was national free balloon day.

"Sailor Mouth"

He is seen driving an ice cream truck with Patrick latched on the back of it.

"The Fry Cook Games"

He offers fish sticks for $1 after Patrick accidentally gets bread crumbs all over part of the audience from the deep fry pole vault.

"As Seen on TV"

He is seen at the Krusty Krab bathroom talking with Incidental 108 about a performance Incidental 108 saw on T.V. last night and SpongeBob assumes that they were referring to him.

"No Weenies Allowed"

Sandy tells him that Texas calls ice cream frozen cow juice while he gives her an ice cream cone. She then thanks him for the ice cream cone and he thanks her as well.

"Rock-a-Bye Bivalve"

He gives Patrick a normal ice cream cone and Junior a worm flavored ice cream cone during the montage of SpongeBob and Patrick spending time with Junior.

"Party Pooper Pants"

He appears as the cashier at the Barg'N-Mart where SpongeBob has him sign his record book for making a brand new shopping record. He then tells SpongeBob about their sale on the "Make your own Party Kit" and tells him its free if he leaves the store right now.

"Mid-Life Crustacean"

He is seen running an ice cream stand in front of the Cemetery where he can be seen handing an ice cream cone to Incidental 82.

"Missing Identity"

He appears as a chef at the Diner where he asks SpongeBob why did he eat Snail-Po.

"The Sponge Who Could Fly"

He appears as a cashier at the Barg'N-Mart where he mocks SpongeBob for attempting to fly.

"Funny Pants"

He is seen as the Whoopee Cushions truck driver where he appears to have crashed into a street light. He then tells everyone to watch out for Incidental 42's Grandma's Pies truck, which crashes into his truck.

"Sing a Song of Patrick"

He appears as a torch salesman for the angry mob.

"The Two Faces of Squidward"

He is seen as a hot dog vendor putting mustard on a long nosed fish's hot dog but then loses focus from seeing handsome Squidward and accidentally puts the mustard on the fish's long nose instead.

"Porous Pockets"

He appears as an ice cream vendor at Bikini Bottom where SpongeBob gives him a handful of cash for two ice cream cones. He later leaves his stand to hang out with Incidental 40, Bert, and Incidental 108.

"Sand Castles in the Sand"

Patrick crashes into his cart while playing frisbee with SpongeBob.

"The Cent of Money"

Mr. Krabs watches him plunge his fin into his bucket of coins at the Fun Arcade.

"Karate Star"

He is one of the ice cream men that make a tall ice cream cone for Patrick. Patrick then attempts to pay him for the ice cream cone with an old lollipop but he refuses. Patrick then angrily karate chops the counter and the tip jar money flies onto his hand and Incidental 107 accuses him of trying to steal money from the tip jar.

"You Don't Know Sponge"

He appears as the driver of the ice cream truck Patrick buys ice cream from. He later asks Patrick what's wrong with SpongeBob when he runs away crying and Patrick tells him that he probably didn't want any ice cream.

"Mooncation"

He appears as a baker where SpongeBob asks him to make a cake for Sandy, much to his annoyance.

"The Good Krabby Name"

He complains about SpongeBob and Patrick blocking the Krusty Krab door in order to prevent him and the rest of the mob to get to them.

"Pull Up a Barrel"

He is a sailor for Captain Scarfish's crew in Mr. Krabs' navy crew story where he is the first sailor to try his disgusting slop.

"Patrick's Coupon"

He appears as an employee at Ice Cream where he later has Patrick escorted out of the store when he finds out that his ice cream coupon expired.

"The Nitwitting"

He runs away on his hot dog cart when he sees the Empty Head Society arrive.

"Food PBFFT! Truck"

He appears in a Crane Crepes food truck where he steals SpongeBob's and Squidward's construction worker customers with his crane.

"Say Awww!"

He appears as a hot dog vendor at Glove World! where he is seen serving the shrimp until they both get eaten by Q.T.-π.
