Character

Incidental 35[1] is a background character who appears throughout the first two seasons. He first appears in the episode "Ripped Pants."

Description

He is a tall light blue fish with high, light purple tight lips. He has yellow eyes with black pupils, and is usually seen wearing sunglasses underneath his eyes. He also wears blue shorts with yellow spots and red sandals.

In "MuscleBob BuffPants," he does not wear sunglasses and his head is more pointy on the top.

In "Bossy Boots," he wears his sunglasses as well as a dark blue beanie.

Role in series

"Ripped Pants"

He is seen in the audience at Goo Lagoon. He cheers while watching Sandy and Larry the Lobster lift weights. When SpongeBob lifts a stick with two marshmallows, the skinny fish is unamused at first, but he starts to laugh after SpongeBob rips his pants.

"Pickles"

He is part of the crowd watching Bubble Bass eat his Krabby Patty and becomes shocked when he says there are no pickles in it.

"MuscleBob BuffPants"

At the Juice Bar, SpongeBob points to the skinny fish and mentions that he used to be unathletic like him. The skinny fish asks if he was talking about him.

"I Was a Teenage Gary"

He is one of the jellyfishers on the bus. Only his body, shorts, and fin can be seen.

"Suds"

He appears among the customers freaking out after Mr. Krabs calls out SpongeBob's sickness.

"Walking Small"

He is seen sunbathing at the lagoon. Later, he is seen leaving the beach while holding a surfboard.

"Fools in April"

He is present at the Krusty Krab. He can be seen looking at the sound system when SpongeBob is laughing into the microphone.

"Neptune's Spatula"

He is seen in the crowd at the Poseidome Colosseum.

"Your Shoe's Untied"

He is seated at a table at the Krusty Krab when SpongeBob runs out of the restaurant after realizing no one there can help him tie his shoes.

"Bossy Boots"

He can be seen as the driver of the boat that comes to pick up Pearl from the Krusty Krab.

"Christmas Who?"

The skinny fish was originally planned to appear in front of Squidward's house, waiting for a Christmas present. He was featured in the storyboard but removed in the final version of the episode.

"Patty Hype"

He is one of the customers who crowd around Mr. Krabs after he takes over the Pretty Patty stand.

"Prehibernation Week"

He is seen in the crowd, listening to Sandy.

Trivia

  • He is listed as "skinny fish" in the credits of "MuscleBob BuffPants."
  • He was one of the background characters removed from the incidental model sheet after the third season.
