SpongeBob comes across a puddle of strawberry ice cream. He sees that Patrick caused the puddle by eating his ice cream cone too sloppily. SpongeBob yells at him, and to make up for his "crime," Patrick becomes SpongeBob's deputy.
He wear the waffle cone on his head for the rest of the episode.
SpongeBob tries to order a strawberry ice cream cone from the ice cream stand run by Lou at Goo Lagoon. However, people keep cutting him in line. Once he finally gets his chance to order one, they are unfortunately all out.
A little later, Plankton is seen crying on the bench because he has two ice cream cones despite how he only wanted one, so SpongeBob agrees to eat one of them for him. Afterward, Plankton manipulates SpongeBob by forcing the giant eel who stole SpongeBob's ice cream to give it back, using harsh and intimidating speech to do so. This causes the eel to cry, throw the ice cream at him, and ran off in tears.
After SpongeBob notices that Squidward's outdoor chair is occupied by a pistachio ice cream cone, he concludes that Mr. Magic's Magical Kit turned Squidward into an ice cream cone. Although, in reality, Squidward had just left town to take a vacation.
SpongeBob and Patrick persistently trade bowls of strawberry ice cream since Patrick thinks that SpongeBob has more due to his container being bigger. Patrick then selfishly eats both of the dishes, deeming it fair since he cannot decide which one has more ice cream.
A little later, SpongeBob and Patrick order strawberry ice cream from Sandy. Patrick promises to give SpongeBob his cone if he gives him a foot massage first. While SpongeBob reluctantly does so, the ice cream starts dripping in the process, so Patrick tries to prevent this by eating the cone, much to SpongeBob's anger.
