Ice Cream Time is a SpongeBob SquarePants book written by Stephen Hillenburg and illustrated by Vince Deporter. It was published by Scholastic Corporation on September 5, 2005 and contains 14 pages. In 2010, it was re-released as Time for Ice Cream. It is about SpongeBob and Patrick waiting for their ice cream in a long line. Unfortunately for Squidward, he has to stand in line with them.

Synopsis[]

This is "Book 10," a 14-pages booklet part of the Phonics Reading Program series. "In this story, you can learn all about the long "I" sound. Here are some words to sound out: ICE, TIME, FINE, LINE, FIVE, WILD ..."

Plot[]

The book starts with SpongeBob and Patrick getting in line for ice cream. To pass the time since the line is so long, they play I Spy and end up finding Squidward. They then step in line behind him. Patrick suggests that they spin five times. When SpongeBob and him initiate their spinning, Squidward complains that their spins are too wild. Patrick climbs up and claims that the line is one mile long.

Once they get their ice cream, they conclude that they enjoyed it. After eating it, they decide to wait in the line again sometime.

Trivia[]
