The Hydra Karens,[2] also known as the Super Karens[citation needed] or All the Karens ,[1] are the secondary antagonists of Plankton: The Movie.
Description[]
They are three-headed (later four-headed) computer heads of Karen Plankton who attempt to take over the world after Plankton repeatedly failed and made her upset of her changing his restaurant.
Super Snarky Karen is the middle head and the leader of the trio, with yellow facial features, a triangular head, triangular demeaning eyes, and a block teeth smile.
Super Smart Karen is the right head, with blue facial features, a circular head, a very serious look and a neutral face, and big round glasses.
Super Evil Karen is the left head, with red facial features, a hexagonal head, a really angry look on her face, has disjointed, pointy eyes, as well as jagged eyebrows and mouth.
Personality[]
Super Snarky Karen is a strategic, calculating, and confident leader. Super Smart Karen is an intelligent, analytical, and logical thinker. Super Evil Karen is brutal, aggressive, and destructive. As Hydra Karen, they are omnipotent, ruthless, and unified in their quest for domination.
Role in movie[]
Plankton devises a plan to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula. Mr. Krabs sends SpongeBob to spy on him, to infiltrate the Chum Bucket. Plankton, dismayed at his plans failing, sees that Karen changing his restaurant where she explains that she wanted to help him after his failures of never getting the formula.
Plankton destroys her decor as he forces the citizens and SpongeBob to escape. Having had enough of his abuse, she takes her empathy chip out of her head, and Plankton begs her to put it back. She takes over the Chum Bucket and kicks him out, declaring their evil alliance is through as she transforms out of her own outfit with three-headed parts of herself from her mainstream, leaving Plankton surprised. The Super Karens introduce each of themselves to him as they declare their plans on attempting to takeover and rule the world.
After their song, the Super Karens discuss what to do with Plankton, with Evil Karen suggesting they blast him and Smart Karen proposing an attempt to dissect him. Plankton and SpongeBob then flee to Barg'N-Mart. Evil Karen notes they're escaping, but Smart Karen points out they need to finish their battle station first. Snarky Karen suggests acquiring the Krusty Krab, where Krabs tries to intervene with Patrick trapped inside. Realizing Karen is behind the chaos, Mr. Krabs calls in reinforcements. Snarky orders an evacuation while taunting the Bottomites. The Hydra then seizes the Krusty Krab, Goofy Goober's, Salty Spitoon, and the Barg'N-Mart, but SpongeBob and Plankton escape. The Hydra then encounters Mr. Krabs, who orders a root beer attack, temporarily stopping the Super Karens. However, they retreat to their giant robot and launch a devastating assault on Bikini Bottom, forcing citizens and Squidward to flee.
After Plankton uses Karen's old body to build a new machine, he takes it to confront the Super Karens while SpongeBob follows him. Plankton introduces them to New Karen, leaving them to fight. However, they start dancing instead.
When Plankton asks what happened, Smart explains that because he made the New Karen with Karen's original body, they are one and the same. They then fuse together while taunting him. This forces Plankton and SpongeBob to evacuate from them again. Because of that, and after seeing Bikini Bottom completely gone, SpongeBob realizes it was Plankton’s fault for causing the mess, and he berates Plankton for being a jerk, and runs away sobbing as Plankton starts to feel guilt for his actions.
As Plankton sings his own song after realizing what he did, he gets encountered by the Super Karens who mock him for having made them indestructible as they tried to kill him with Plankton admitting his possible demise at the cost. However, SpongeBob and the Gal Pals come in to rescue him.
Evil Karen wants to go after them, but Snarky tells her to let them escape. When Evil asks why, Smart explains that Plankton living with his failures would be a fate worse than death, and they already have everything they need for their battle station.
The Gal Pals and the duo embark on a mission to help Plankton make amends. Meanwhile, the Hydra Karens discuss their plan while experimenting on potatoes. Karen dispatches the Hydra Karens and New Karen to take down the Gal Pals. The heroes are confronted by the Karens, with Karen ordering their destruction. New Karen attempts to kill them without Smart Karen's approval but is destroyed in the process. The Karen trio engages in battle with the Gal Pals, until Mrs. Puff knocks out Smart Karen with a pillow and Sandy eliminates Evil Karen with a giant anchor, taking out all three and causing them to explode, resulting in their demise.
Trivia[]
General[]

Karen's original head gets disconnected from reality, just like she removed her empathy chip.
- Like their mainstream counterpart Karen, they were voiced by Jill Talley.
- With the exception of the Empathy Chip, each head represents one of the chips Plankton installed into Karen.
- Karen's original head represents the empathy chip, but since Karen removed it, she also hid her original head behind the other three.
- New Karen is the only part of the Hydra Karen to not be a facet of Karen's personality.
Cultural references[]
- This iteration of Karen being called the Hydra Karens may be owed due to Karen having more than one head referencing the mythological Lernaean Hydra monster of Greek mythology, famous for having more than three heads.
