The episode begins with SpongeBob going to work, only to realize it is Sunday. When he goes back to bed, Sandy calls him to house-sit her house, and he comes right away, but not wearing his water helmet for some reason. Sandy tells him about all the things he has to do while she is gone, and then leaves for the bus going her Inventor's Convention.
The episode starts at [[SpongeBob's house]], and he is sleeping. After, SpongeBob gets ready for work, but Gary keeps on trying to tell him something. He realizes it's Sunday, so he goes back into bed. The phone rings and SpongeBob answers it, thinking it is Mr. Krabs wanting him to go to work, but it is Sandy. Sandy wants him to house sit for her. Then, Sandy tells him what to do. She wants him to see if the temperature at the greenhouse is regular, then she wanted him to make sure the worms in the incubator are okay, etc. Then, SpongeBob does his chores when she is gone and all of them are okay. But he discovers that a worm is hatching and that wasn't right, but it was Patrick. SpongeBob wants Patrick to go, but he talked him into staying here. Then he said "okay," but he wanted Patrick not to touch anything. Unfortunately, he does. [[File:HSWS 2.jpg|thumb|left]] Then SpongeBob accidentally hits a test tube and it hits one of Sandy's Robots, then everything inside the tree dome is destroyed by the robots, much to SpongeBob's dismay. Then, Sandy appears with a laser and SpongeBob and Patrick thinks that she is going to hurt them, but she turns the disaster into what it was before. She reveals that it was all just an experiment, and congratulates them for destroying her dome. She had wanted to destroy the dome so that she could test out her laser, which fixes destroyed objects. Then, SpongeBob drops one of her equipment, and everything inside is destroyed. Then, she thinks it is okay since she still has her laser. But a robot grabs it and destroys it. SpongeBob asks Sandy if she brought more than one of those lasers, but Sandy doesn't answer and her eye twitches, indicating that she had only one. As SpongeBob and Patrick leave the treedome in a hurry, the episode ends with Sandy angrily shouting out, "SpongeBob!"

This causes the robots to awaken and cause havoc and destruction on the treedome. Right after, Sandy appears and it seems as if she's going to zap and kill the two with a ray gun, but to their surprise, she instead fixes the treedome with it. She presents to them her rubble reverser ray which she made at the convention and reveals she was expecting SpongeBob and Patrick to destroy the treedome the whole time so she could test the ray. The three cheer, but SpongeBob accidentally drops the flask again and causes all the havoc to start again. The episode ends with a robot destroying Sandy's ray blaster right when she is about to reverse the damages, causing her to get mad at SpongeBob and Patrick as they escape the treedome, as the episode ends.

"House Sittin' for Sandy" is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode from season 8. In this episode, SpongeBob agrees to be Sandy's house sitter, but things go wrong when Patrick arrives.

Characters

Synopsis

The episode begins with SpongeBob going to work, only to realize it is Sunday. When he goes back to bed, Sandy calls him to house-sit her house, and he comes right away, but not wearing his water helmet for some reason. Sandy tells him about all the things he has to do while she is gone, and then leaves for the bus going her Inventor's Convention.

SpongeBob starts doing everything Sandy asked him to do. At some point, he sees that a worm is about to hatch, but it turns out to just be Patrick. After he reminds SpongeBob to wear his water helmet, SpongeBob asks him to exit the treedome. Patrick at first is excited and wants to go somewhere fun, but SpongeBob has to stay in the treedome to house-sit. Patrick convinces SpongeBob that he should stay and tells him he should just sit down and do nothing while he house-sits.

House Sittin' for Sandy 137

That's a lot of robot havoc.

After a while, SpongeBob gets annoyed with Patrick (forgetting what he was going to ask) and ends up dropping a flask, which rolls into the robot warehouse.

Production

During a tour of Rough Draft Korea for students of Yongsan International School of Seoul in 2016, various SpongeBob color background books were discovered for many episode segments. One of the books found was created for "House Sittin' for Sandy," confirming that the episode was shipped to Korea on February 11, 2011.[3]

This episode's existence was confirmed on August 1, 2011.[4]
