Synopsis[]
On an episode of the Patrick Show, Squidina hangs Patrick from a tank full of air, upside-down. There is a cannon aimed at the tank and a pile of bricks above it. When the bricks drop and the cannon fires, Patrick is completely gone in the resulting explosion. However, he drives back in an ice cream-shaped car, crashing it and sustaining no damage. As he walks away, a tire sticks its foot out and trips him. Patrick crashes into the stage floor, causing the set to collapse entirely.
The next day, Patrick is laying in bed in a full-body cast, and Squidina gives him some juice. She tells him that she has prepared guest hosts (which Patrick hopes is ice cream) to continue the show while he recovers. The first turns out to be Bunny, who sucks some dust bunnies out of the couch and leads them in a dance. One dust bunny breaks free and sings opera; Bunny calls it a show-off and sucks them all back up. Tinkle breaks through the door, chasing the vacuum around. The audience reacts negatively, and Squidina fears that she needs a new guest host. Squidward shows up and asks if she's "looking for a star": this gives her the idea to put Cecil on.
Cecil comes on stage rowing a boat, then shows off a high-tech fishing rod he invented. GrandPat enters and says that technology has made fishing too easy, using his own bone-based rod. He and Cecil get into an argument, and have a fishing contest. Cecil fishes up a ghost from the cemetery, joking, "No need for catch and release, I specter to get away!" GrandPat fishes up Squidasaurus Rex, who runs straight through the walls of the house. He says, "I guess the Tyranna-saw us and took off!" Horrified by the lame "dad jokes," Squidina facepalms. Cecil and GrandPat continue fishing, until they finally catch each other and praise their skills. Squidina asks what they were fishing for, and they say, "What else? Compliments!," making her groan.
The audience shouts for Patrick. Squidina calls in "Tentacles": not Squidward, but Granny Tentacles, who does a zombie make-over segment. She paints a zombie's nails, massages it, and puts make-up on its head. The zombie, displeased, puts Granny Tentacles in a hairdresser and turns the temperature up. She tries to walk off-stage, but collapses. Granny Tentacles, shrunken from the heat, says that she is still a better host than any of the Stars. An offended Bunny sucks her up with her vacuum, leading the audience to complain again.
Squidina trials some more guest hosts: the Dartfish Family try do to the wave, but mess up and throw Teensy Tom away. Ouchie plays the violin terribly using his tongue. Pinkeye surfaces from a hat that he was napping in. Out of ideas, Squidina yells and pushes everyone off-stage. The audience chants, "We want Patrick!" Squidina puts pink make-up on her face and puts herself in a suit of Patrick's body. She calls in Squidward again, but only to zip up her costume. Squidina rehearses as Patrick, but this only works after she takes out her brain. However, the audience remains unimpressed by Squidina's antics.
A chainsaw stunt leads to Squidina's disguise getting shredded. Facing her viewers, she puts her brain back in and dares them to do a better Patrick impression. They run in and start jumping on the stage, once again making the set collapse. Patrick surfaces from the rubble, and his cast cracks apart. He exclaims that being injured again "un-broke his bones."
The day after, Patrick's show is back to normal, as he juggles the zombie's parts in the air. However, the audience is still severely injured. Patrick finally gets the guest he wanted all along, a talking ice cream cone, on the show. After it tells a joke, he eats it.
Production[]
This episode was confirmed by Cartoonlounge.de on April 22, 2022.[2]
On November 3, 2022, the Patrick Star Instagram account posted a chart of cropped series screenshots with a month under each of them, asking "Your birth month is the energy you give off.." One of those shots happened to be from this episode.[3] Ironically, this occurred one day before the episode was originally supposed to air.
Promotional art[]
- The Patrick Star Instagram account created a few pieces of art for this episode's debut. The first 5 images are comprised of screenshots from SpongeBob and Patrick, as well as Transformers: Earthspark for all of the Friday premieres,[4] and the sixth was reused for this episode,[5] as it was previously used to promote the series' debut.[6]
