— Hieronymus Glove
Character

Hieronymus Glove is a character who appears in the episode "Escape from Beneath Glove World." He is voiced by Nyasha Hatendi. He is the founder and current owner of Glove World! as well as SpongeBob and Patrick's childhood hero. He has a robotic counterpart called the animatronic Hieronymus Glove.

Description[]

He is an orange shark with a lighter orange underside. He has black hair in the shape of a glove and a small black mustache, and wears a dark purple suit and a white dress shirt with a red necktie along with dark blue pants, white velvet lined gloves, and brown shoes. He is currently frozen in a large block of ice with a speaker on the front which allows him to speak to people.

Role in series[]

"Escape from Beneath Glove World"[]

Patrick accidentally rips the animatronic Hieronymus Glove's head off and he ends up thinking they killed the real Hieronymus Glove until the Glove World! officers reveal that the real Hieronymus Glove was frozen in ice years ago. They still get arrested for defacing Glove World! property.

Later, Hieronymus finds the pair of friends in Sock World while Patrick and the animatronic Hieronymus Glove are fighting. He breaks them up and orders his servants to wipe the animatronic Hieronymus' memory banks, thus erasing his evil personality. Hieronymus then thanks SpongeBob and Patrick for dealing with the crazy robot by officially releasing them from Glove World Jail. While bringing them back to Glove World!, he sings an altered version of the "Gloves Song," praising SpongeBob and Patrick for their good deed.

The Cosmic Shake[]

Hieronymus Glove is mentioned by one of the Glove World! patrons standing outside the Glove World Theater.

Trivia[]

  • He is based on Walt Disney. Even him being cryogenically frozen is based on a conspiracy theory that Walt cryogenically froze himself.
