The heart man,[1][2][3][4] also known as the big heart mascot and the fish in mascot, is a minor character who first appears in the episode "Valentine's Day."
Description[]
He is a dark green fish who wears a bright red heart mascot suit which consists of two large eyes and a dark red smiling mouth.

The uncostumed variant of the heart man. He is a faded dark green fish with deep green lips and a light green dorsal fin. He wears white boxers with a pink waistband and pink hearts.
Names[]
The name "heart man" is the most consistently used name for the big heart mascot. It was used for him in "Valentine's Day," The World's Greatest Valentine, Deep-Sea Tales, and SpongeBob's Idle Adventures.

- In The World's Greatest Valentine and Deep-Sea Tales, a group of kids refer him as Heartie.
Role in series[]
The heart man has only made two episode appearances as well as a book and game appearance. He has always been portrayed to be a mascot dressed in a costume in all of his appearances. The heart man has been absent from the series for 18 years ever since his debut appearance in "Valentine's Day" but later made a comeback in the season 11 episode, "The Night Patty."

The heart man first appears entertaining the kid fish at park at the Valentine's Day Carnival. Patrick, furious over not receiving any special gifts, rips his costume in half and scares the kid fish at park, revealing the fish in mascot underneath.
