"Hard Time Out" is a Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years episode from season 1. In this episode, SpongeBob is sent to time out on behalf of his buddy, so Patrick does what he can to rectify the situation.

Characters[]

Synopsis[]

SpongeBob and Patrick are shown having fun, running around the camp together. Soon after, Patrick gets thirsty. He first uses SpongeBob as his water source, but is still thirsty afterwards. He heads inside Mr. Krabs' cabin for water. Patrick drinks from the S.S. Carpus bottle, which SpongeBob notices that it is Mr. Krabs' ship in a bottle. SpongeBob and Patrick desperately try to get the ship out from inside Patrick, and the ship flies out of Patrick's mouth as SpongeBob jumps on him, but it breaks as soon as it lands on the ground. SpongeBob tries to fix the ship as Mr. Krabs enters the cabin, but is unsuccessful. While SpongeBob tries to apologize for his and Patrick's actions, Mr. Krabs notices that Patrick is gone. Mr. Krabs sentences SpongeBob to time out as punishment.

Mr. Krabs places SpongeBob in the time out room and soon leaves afterwards, offering SpongeBob a pillow and food if necessary. SpongeBob at first thinks things will be fine, but gets exhausted within a minute. Patrick is seen outside the window, wanting to bust SpongeBob out, but SpongeBob does not want his help. Patrick still intends to help anyway, to which a montage of his various attempts is shown, but SpongeBob still declines his help.

Hard Time Out 105

Patrick intentionally tries to get Mr. Krabs to punish him.

Patrick's next tactic is to try to get himself inside the time out room to be with SpongeBob. He is unsuccessful upon releasing trash, as Mr. Krabs finds a candy bar there, as well as releasing urchins on the camp, due to them vacuuming up the trash that Patrick dropped earlier. While Mr. Krabs is monitoring the camp, Patrick is shown to have turned the outhouse into a motor vehicle and sinks it, although Mr. Krabs still praises his action since the outhouse needed a cleaning. Patrick gets angry at this and tosses his camp neckerchief, which ends up being the action that Mr. Krabs sentences Patrick to time out for, due to him disrespecting camp property.

Mr. Krabs takes Patrick to the time out room, where SpongeBob is shown to have gone insane. Mr. Krabs leaves the two of them together, as Patrick tries to keep SpongeBob company. SpongeBob shows his dummy version of Patrick, which he treats as the actual Patrick. Patrick at first feels sad at this, and soon fights with the dummy Patrick. While Patrick tries to attack the dummy, he and SpongeBob get into a fight. Mr. Krabs soon comes in to say that their time out is over.

SpongeBob and Patrick reconcile and leave the time out room together, leaving Mr. Krabs confused. As they exit Mr. Krabs' cabin, SpongeBob says that he needs to use the outhouse, and Patrick takes him to the lake, where he sunk it earlier. Later in the day, Mr. Krabs repairs his ship in a bottle. The dummy Patrick gives him the glue, to which Mr. Krabs gets scared by and goes into the time out room. The dummy Patrick then explains that everyone can use a time out every now and then.
