- This is the first SpongeBob VHS tape to be holiday-themed.
- This is first SpongeBob VHS tape to use the 2002 Paramount logo.
- This is the first SpongeBob VHS tape that only features the first five episodes from the Halloween DVD, without having another VHS tape with the remaining episodes from the DVD.
- This VHS tape includes previews for other Nickelodeon material (Spongebob Dvds and Videos, Nickelodeon Halloween Videos) and a promo for Nick Jr. tapes, the home video trailer for Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, and a teaser for Charlotte's Web 2: Wilbur's Great Adventure. This makes it the rarest SpongeBob video to date to have those previews.
