Character

Grubby Grouper is a grouper who appears in the episodes "Bubble Buddy," "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout," and "Krusty Koncessionaires," as well as in the book SpongeBob Tees Off. He is a world-famous surf punk.

Description

Grubby Grouper is an old, washed-up dark green fish. He is covered in dirt and flies, and wears an orange hat, a white tank-top, and has a lot of yellow stubble on his face.

He drives an orange boatmobile with wood panels on the sides and a teal patch at the front. In his cargo is a purple surfboard with yellow fins and a yellow stripe going through the middle.

"Bubble Buddy"

He meets Pearl and her friends at Goo Lagoon while in his boat. He shakes his dirty hand with Pearl, leading her to promise she will never wash her fin again. Afterwards, Bubble Buddy shakes hands with Pearl, cleaning her fin and causing her to cry.

SpongeBob Tees Off

He is one of the celebrities who have come to watch the golf tournament between SpongeBob and Annika Swordfish.

"SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout"

He is one of the many guests at SpongeBob's surprise party, where he and Harold eat Mrs. Puff's cake before Sandy makes them spit it out. Grubby also suggests that the guests play party games, painting a large target onto a wall so that a football player runs into it, accidentally breaking the wall and causing the guests to cheer.

He later appears among the crowd of exhausted guests who welcome SpongeBob home.
