"Grass Skirt Chase" (alternate title: "Grass Skirt") was composed by Sage Guyton and Jeremy Wakefield. It is considered the primary "chase music" of the series. A Halloween version of this is "Haunted Hula Skirts."

    • However, the episode "Jellyfishing" was produced earlier, and does include this track during a chase scene, when Squidward chases a jellyfish on wheelchair.
  • This track and "Tomfoolery" have become the main subject of the viral "I put SpongeBob music over x" videos on the internet.
  • This track played during Nick bumpers in 2004.[1]
  • Even though this track has played in every season, it only played twice in season 2.
  • In the video game Creature from the Krusty Krab, three different arrangements of this track can be found.
  • A snippet of the track is heard during the televised version of The SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage!
  • In "Mrs. Puff, You're Fired" and "Good Ol' Whatshisname," the start of this track plays before transitioning into "Sponge Monger," likely due to the similar instrumentation and meter between the tracks, and the similar narrative contexts in which the tracks play.
