The Great White Jellyfish is a giant albino jellyfish from the SpongeBob SquarePants video game Revenge of the Flying Dutchman, which is available for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube consoles. However, the Nintendo Game Boy Advance handheld system version of the game does not include the Great White Jellyfish.

Gameplay

The Great White Jellyfish can be seen in the level Jellyfish Fields, in the second area of "Jellyfish Clams" (which you access by entering a cave on a hill in the first area of Jellyfish Clams). If you follow the right hand side canyon wall, you will eventually find the jellyfish. Then, if you jump on its cap, it will raise out of its "bed" and take SpongeBob for a ride. Avoid falling into its bed; if done so, it will automatically kill SpongeBob. When riding, the objective is to avoid falling off the cap. The jellyfish will go under a series of narrow bridges made of rock and make a series of tight twists and turns (the ride will get increasingly harder as you go through it). As the ride progresses, changing the camera angle will become more of a necessity. If SpongeBob stays on the cap when it is going under a bridge, SpongeBob will be pushed off of the cap, due to the small amount of space between the bridge and the cap. In that case, SpongeBob will need to jump over the bridge and land back on the cap of the jellyfish. If he falls off of the cap, SpongeBob will need to get back on the cap in nine or less seconds. If SpongeBob does not succeed in doing so, he will have to start all over again. If he does succeed in staying on for approximately three minutes, you will be rewarded with a B letter tile.

About two-thirds of the way through, the Great White Jellyfish makes a slow turn around a sleeping giant clam sitting on a raised section of a rock. If you have enough time, you can jump on the clam, making it spring its mouth open, hurling you up in the air, where a E letter tile is floating. You can grab it and then land back on the cap of the jellyfish before nine seconds is up.

Trivia

• It is unknown if the Great White Jellyfish has any family or not. The Great White Jellyfish is the only albino jellyfish in the whole level, yet in the episode "The Secret Box," SpongeBob suspects that Patrick keeps the world's only albino jellyfish in his secret box,  when Patrick refused to let SpongeBob see inside. This could be either the Great White Jellyfish as an infant (because the Great White Jellyfish could never fit in that size box now), its past parents, its future offspring, or a random albino jellyfish set after the Great White Jellyfish.
• Its name is a pun on the Great White Whale and Shark.
