Gerhard Narholz (born June 6, 1937; age 87) is a music composer who has composed music for various TV shows and movies over the years. His production music tracks have been used in different forms of media and entertainment, including SpongeBob SquarePants.
In 1965, Gerhard Narholz and his wife, Heidi Narholz, founded the Sonoton Recorded Music Library, which is where a lot of SpongeBob SquarePants production music comes from. Gerhard Narholz's three kids, Christoph Narholz, Gregor Narholz, and Robert Narholz, would later go on to become composers for this library.
Even though his real name is Gerhard Narholz, he usually goes by any of his 13 different pseudonyms: Otto Sieben, Mac Prindy, John Epping, Sammy Burdson, Xyco, Tony Tape, Jim Harbourg, Walt Rockman, Norman Candler, Renato Pegado, Rolf Steinfelder, Paul Prennessel, and Jurgen Jaenner.[1]
