Trivia[]

General[]

  • The titles of the songs "Jingle Shells," "O Coral Tree," "Shipwreck the Halls," "We Wish You a Meowy Meowmas," and "Auld Fish Line" are based on "Jingle Bells," "Oh Christmas Tree," "Deck the Halls," "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," and "Auld Lang Syne" respectively.
  • At certain points it sounds like there are multiple Garys.
  • This is one of the very few shorts in which SpongeBob does not appear.

  • Various Christmas-themed decorations, such as gingerbread men, candy canes, presents, and a nutcracker are shown in the various backgrounds along with Gary.
  • The narrator saying "Auld Fish Line" in an age-old tune is a reference to the fact that "Auld Lang Syne" is a very old folkloric song.
  • A few background scenes that play during "Auld Fish Line" are actually taken from the movie Daddy's Home.
