The garbage man[1] is a character who appears in the episodes "Sentimental Sponge" and "MuseBob ModelPants."
Description[]
He is a garbage man who wears a white shirt with dark green overalls. He also has a red hat and brown shoes. His body is light blue. He has a mean-looking appearance in general.
He looks similar to the giant bell hop from the episode "Kracked Krabs."
Role in series[]
"Sentimental Sponge"[]
After Patrick tells SpongeBob about sentimental value, he decides to keep his trash, but right when he goes to get his trash, the garbage man has picked it up. However, SpongeBob takes back the trash.
Later on, after SpongeBob captures pictures of all the garbage he saved, he gives them to the garbage man and gives him his pay. The garbage man then begins to drive back to the Dump.
"MuseBob ModelPants"[]
After Squidward throws his painting in the trash, which SpongeBob "ruined," the garbage man arrives in a garbage truck with Fred and Incidental 119. Upon seeing the discarded artwork, he shows it to his companions, as he has never seen such a beautiful masterpiece before, and they agree. When an art critic, Peggy Grouperheim, arrives and asks who the artist is, he and the others immediately point to Squidward.
In the end, the garbage man asks Squidward if he's done with his painting and then tosses it into the garbage truck, which crushes it.
