Role in episode
He is Sandy's instructor and known as "The World's Meanest Karate Instructor," according to SpongeBob. At first, Fuzzy believed that SpongeBob didn't have what it takes to be a master karate warrior and harshly called him a "sorry excuse for a student." However, he changed his mind and realized how wrong he was when he saw the impressive skills SpongeBob demonstrated at the Krusty Krab. It is also shown that he has trained himself to breathe for hours without air. Fuzzy is the owner of the "Blacker Belt," but later gives it to Sandy.
Near the end of the episode, he loses his air and puts on an air helmet.
Fuzzy Acorns may be a reference to Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, which premiered around the same time as "The Way of the Sponge." He even calls SpongeBob a "kung fu charlatan."
In the episode, Fuzzy is never referred to as a squirrel, but his last name is Acorns.
