— Fortune teller to SpongeBob, "A Pal for Gary"
|
The fortune teller[1] is a fish citizen who appears in the episodes "A Pal for Gary," "Old Man Patrick," and "Mooned!"
Description[]
"A Pal for Gary"[]
She is a light purple fish with light yellow and light green eyes and black hair. She wears a light blue dress, a red cape, and blue slippers. One of her eyes is really small.
She is seen as untrustworthy for her strange appearance and sales of violent creatures, but also cautious, as she does not want the Puffy Fluffs to maliciously harm anyone.
"Old Man Patrick"[]
She is a lighter shade of purple and wears a pink dress.
Role in series[]
"A Pal for Gary"[]
SpongeBob notices the Puffy Fluffs she is selling and immediately gets excited. She tells him that they are rare but extremely dangerous. SpongeBob is too amazed by their appearance and takes a green one, which he later names Puffy Fluffy. She warns SpongeBob that the creatures are violent and aggravated by other pets, especially snails; she shows an example, with a Puffy Fluff angrily growling at a picture of a cat, but SpongeBob ignores her warnings and leaves with Puffy Fluffy anyway. She comments aside that nobody ever listens to her; she is then not seen again for the rest of the episode.
"Old Man Patrick"[]
She appears as a resident of Shady Shoals Rest Home.
"Mooned!"[]
When Patrick gives SpongeBob a strip of paper containing an address to a shack in the woods, SpongeBob decides to travel there in an attempt to locate Kevin C. Cucumber. Upon arriving, he is briefly startled after seeing an eye in the darkness, but calms down after realizing that it is the fortune teller's snail, Miss Marigold. When SpongeBob asks the fortune teller about Kevin's whereabouts, she points to a nearby trash can where Kevin has been hiding. After SpongeBob and Kevin have a brief conversation, the fortune teller dumps a pile of garbage on top of Kevin.
