Squid... ward... go toward... the light... of my flamethrower!

A flamethrower is a weapon that appears in the episodes "Patty Hype," "Pet Sitter Pat," "Are You Happy Now?," "Grandmum's the Word," and "Bottle Burglars."

As its name suggests, the flamethrower shoots out a jet of flames. There are two types of flamethrowers: a tube-like one that Mr. Krabs owns and a high-tech gun that Patrick, Fiasco, and Plankton own.

Role in series

"Patty Hype"

Mr. Krabs uses a flamethrower to burn a Pretty Patty because he thought it was spoiled.

"Pet Sitter Pat"

Patrick uses a flamethrower to try and trick Gary into wanting to take a bath.

Patrick tries to trick Gary with a flamethrower.

"Are You Happy Now?"

Fiasco uses it in an art museum to burn a piece of art that Squidward made.

"Grandmum's the Word"

Plankton uses a smaller version to light some candles.

"Bottle Burglars"

Plankton uses his once again as one of the things to try to use to open the formula up. However, instead of achieving his goal, he burns himself to a crisp.

  • Despite being underwater, the fire does not go out. This is parodying the logic and negative continuity of SpongeBob SquarePants, as it was once acknowledged by Patrick that they should not be able to have campfires underwater.[1]
