This is the official guideline page for videos.

General

Users can upload videos to be incorporated into articles. Users should not upload videos that contain anything inappropriate. Videos should be used on articles only if they have any relation to SpongeBob SquarePants. Videos that are not related to SpongeBob should only be used on user profile pages and blog posts, and at a limited amount.

Videos should mainly be used on articles that are dedicated to a specific piece of media (i.e. episode, short, movie, song, music track). Compilation videos of multiple episodes or other pieces of media should be included on these pages only if there are no other videos available on the topic in question.

The administration reserves the right to remove any videos they deem unnecessary.

Types of videos

Clips of episodes from the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise should only be from official SpongeBob, Nickelodeon, or Paramount channels. Episode clips from unofficial channels are not allowed, unless they are promos.

Videos for music pages should preferably focus on the track's usage in SpongeBob media. A general YouTube stock upload may be used for production music only if there are no other videos available for said track. Song and music videos with higher quality audio or the fully complete track should be prioritized. These videos can be updated with newer videos in the event that there is no substantial difference.

Other pages that are allowed videos include the following, and their specific purpose:

Video games - walkthroughs and pre-release/release trailers
DVDs - trailers, menu walkthroughs, unboxing videos
International dubs - songs and exclusive promos

Videos that are meant to showcase a SpongeBob reference in non-related media, a meme, or other internet phenomena should only be used on their specific pa ges.
