Introduction

This is Quarterly user rights reviews (formerly known as "administrator reviews," but has since included non-administrators) which occurs every three months to determine whether or not promoted users should remain in their position. This may seem radical, but it is to ensure that only qualified members keep their rights.

Under the "Discussion" heading, we will discuss whether the user is fit for their position(s). When voting, you are encouraged to add a reason why you want someone demoted or why they should keep their rights. If a user has a majority of all participants and participating administrators (more than 50%) supporting the removal of their position (neutrals excluded), they may be subject to demotion. Bureaucrats will determine the final verdict, but the community discussion will be taken very largely into account. This is to avoid "friend" and "grudge" voting.

Please keep this discussion civil and don't be insulting. If you have criticism, make it constructive. If you are one of the users being reviewed, please do not force others to support you. Calmly responding to a user's concern is fine, but aggressive behavior will be taken into account by the bureaucrats when reviewing the results.

Voting key:

  • {{Keep}} - if you believe the user should keep their rights.
  • {{Neutral}} - if you are neutral to the user keeping their rights.
  • {{Suspend}} - if you believe the user should be suspended. Be sure to state your proposed length.
  • {{Remove}} - if you believe the user should lose their rights.

Obviously, you may not support yourself.

This discussion will end on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 7:50 a.m., eastern time. — AMK152 (Wall • Contrib) 11:48, May 10, 2018 (UTC)

He has done some incredibly questionable things for a user in a social position to do. While it is okay for him to like Jensonk all he wants, the way he expresses his thoughts blatantly suggests that he can't accept other users' opinions on Jensonk. In a blog he made expressing how he misses Jensonk, he claimed that Golf's "Edits < Behavior" comment about Jensonk made him so mad that he punched a wall and it put a big dent through it. That is disrespecting other opinions. In addition, he claims Jensonk to have done nothing wrong, but that is far from true.... Lastly, and most importantly, one of the comments he made in the blog was absolutely disgusting and sickening: "The one (referring to the suicide message) he sent to cookie was a fact, not a death threat." That is basically saying that it is a fact that the world would be better off without someone; absolutely sickening. Suicide is an extremely serious matter and should not be glorified in any form whatsoever.

In addition to him not using his powers included with this role that often and not being that active in the forums, I have seen Alex at numerous times bring up off-wiki drama in an attempt to "expose" users and he thinks it is a matter of concern when taking a user's personality into account and singles users out for every minor thing. Absolutely not; events from outside of ESB do not affect us here, even less so if they occur on other websites/app. One example of him caring about off-wiki drama is his vote for Philly on the previous reviews, using off-color Discord messages that Philly sent as "proof" of him not being an innocent admin. This spreads drama from outside of the wiki onto it, which is against our policy and absolutely uncalled for. In addition, I sometimes feel like when he brings issues like this up he talks in a tone of voice that makes him look like he is "above" everyone else and it's overall disrespectful and unneeded drama.

Sorry, but Korra isn't the innocent chat mod you all think he is. He has said two things on two different project pages which have really offended me and overall make me lose his trust as a social user. He is shown to jump to conclusions and make assumptions, as shown he told me on ESB:Convention 2017/Finalizing Bylaws/voting, "You only want this rule passed just so you can have more user rights. Global blocks are very serious and reflect more about a user than a local block does". The first sentence was very assumptive and hurtful and I can't believe someone in a social position would jump to conclusions. Even though the way I phrased my explanations may have seemed unprofessional, I have seen Chuck talk like that before plenty of times on UoTM nominations and threads etc, using words like "ya'll", and he was never reprimanded, so why should I be?
The second sentence is also bringing up issues from other wikis and using them to reflect how a user is on ESB, which is awful and uncalled for to say the least; as long as a user would never harm ESB, then that's all that matters. Also, if you base someone's personality based off of off-wiki issues, then you should be looking down upon yourself because I've seen you gossip about many users and assume users are socks through Discord servers and the like.
In addition, he also made another assumption about me in the previous reviews, where he said I only changed my vote on two certain users' roles to neutral out of fear of losing my rights; that is absolutely false and I never admitted to doing that, so that is just an assumption. Plus, he mocked me in the reviews by using quotation marks ("And then he voted remove for SpongeBot678 and Squiddlward for 'talking about mature topics like autism'"), which was incredibly and I hold another grudge against his reason in that sentence: I absolutely did not oppose the idea of autism; I just miscited the policy, something that a wiki is required to follow whether or not they agree with it, so you have no reason whatsoever to mock me for those votes. Heck, I even made a blog explaining the whole situation and how offense was not my intention and apologized if anyone was offended, yet you and a few other users still accused me afterwards.
Aside from that part of your vote for my moderator position, one of your reasons is hypocritical; you voted remove for me because "He cannot take criticism and sometimes feels like people hate him, plus he announced he would retire over something very minor;"

behaved the same way back then yet you voted keep for her. Plus, the reason I behaved like that back then was because other users in the same position as me were as well, so they were my buddies and role models.
Sorry Korra, while you handle this position perfectly, your behavior is of particular concern for a social user.
