Discussion

Block

How long should Auron be blocked from editing?

Block: None

• Template:Extremely Strong Support while Auron's actions may be punishable by a block, he is not hostile and has taken this very well. He deserves no block. A block is used to prevent someone to edit and is only legitimate if the block is preventing damage to the wiki. In Auron's case, a block is not necessary. His contributions are good, and he does not vandalize or mess up pages. If a punishment is supposed to teach him a lesson, what is this teaching him? It's teaching him that he cannot help build the wiki. It hurts the building of the wiki. If someone wants to help build this wiki, they can do so. If they are going to hurt the wiki, they need to be block. Auron is one who helps the wiki. He has not vandalized or messed up pages. • No offense, but uh...you're kinda being a hyporcrite to this wikis rules, I mean seriosuly? it says right in the rules that a person should not have more then 1 account, unless an admin accepts it, so Auron did of course brake a rule right there. Dinosaur250 (talk) 20:51, October 9, 2014 (UTC)

• Yes, so we suspend his priviledges. I don't think the wiki should suffer by preventing Auron from contributing. 120d wasn't blocked for a long period of time until he requested it voluntarily. 120d had great contributions, and was still allowed to edit. • Comment I will also point out that this is Auron's first offense. There is a term called "mitigating factor," in which the punishment may be less severe due to the offender's past actions. This is his first offense, and his contributions to the wiki are positive. He was in good standing until this case occurred.
