RIP Stephen Hillenburg. You will be missed dearly. You were so YOUNG, too! You created the first cartoon that was suitable for ALL ages, and you gave us characters, memes, and other SpongeBob things that we all know and love today. And now, you're gone. Goodbye forever. ;n; AlimuDX 10:22, March 28, 2019
Childhood is my favourite type of moment. I love Mickey Mouse, I love Bugs Bunny, I love Woody Woodpecker. But most of all, I Love SpongeBob SquarePants! Goodbye Hillenburg. I will miss you and I hope Marc Ceccarelli and Vincent Waller try to make the show look good Mister Dude 13 5:52, December 28, 2018 (UTC)

Thankyou and R.I.P. Mr. Stephen Hillenburg for creating the best cartoon I've ever watched as a child. It may have gone downhill, and the quality has seriously diminished but your work on Seasons 1-4 were the Golden Age of Spongebob and are what shaped the show today. Without you I fear the show is doomed but you have brought everyone so much joy through your work as a writer. As a wise Sponge once said: "He was Number One!" EatThatPie 4:52, November, 2018
SpongeBob SquarePants is my favorite Nickelodeon show (and forever will be) and I enjoyed it as a kid. I grew up with this thing and it was one of my childhoods. R.I.P Stephen Hillenburg, thank you for creating our childhood :'(. I hope the show doesn't end. Lot of famous people like Avicii, Stephen Hawking, etc. died the same year. I now officially claim 2018 the worst year ever. Jimmy4164 on Wikia 14:54, November 27, 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for creating this wonderful cartoon, my favorite children's show ever, and for introducing us all to the amazing life in Bikini Bottom. You also (indirectly) created a terrific community, including websites such as this one. SpongeBob has been a large part of my childhood and even part of my life now, and I am so sad to see you go, Stephen. Rest in peace. Figmeister 14:17, November 27, 2018 (CST)
You made my childhood spectacular. You are wildly creative and a true pioneer of the industry. Your characters spoke to me in ways I could not describe. Your legacy will live on in many people's hearts, as they look back fondly on the memories you gave to them. My only regret is that I'm so late doing this, but I still have lots of gratitude to give to you, for making me a happy person. For teaching me to always have a positive outlook, and to not stay negative, and I just hope people remember you for what you truly wanted to do in life. Thank you, and rest in peace, Steven Hillenburg.  NatRox (MCE) SB Gif 14:53, December 21, 2018 (CST)

Hearing that Stephen Hillenburg had passed is truly one of the saddest things that could of happened to me. I've watched SpongeBob SquarePants since I could understand it, and have loved it every since. While the show has been through some dark times, I still watched every episode. Hopefully Hillenburg will live the most peaceful afterlife, he deserves it.

Rest in peace to my the creator of my all time favorite show.

I'm still speechless over this event. I have enjoyed SpongeBob from childhood to now. It continues to bring a smile to my face when I watch repeats of my favorite episodes. Although I may never get to meet him, I am grateful that Mr. Hillenburg created SpongeBob SquarePants. He truly deserves all the awards he has been given. R.I.P. SonicTheEpic 20:32, November 27, 2018 (UTC)
Stephen Hillenburg was a marine biologist who created one of the most successful television empires ever, Spanning over 10 seasons, and thousands of viewers over the years. Ever since Post-Movie he has created to work on the show until his demise by the dreaded disease known as ALS. He will always be remembered of creating one of the best cartoons of all time. Thank you for doing so and hail in the goodlands. VemsaVideo 18:35, November 27, 2018 (EST)
Even though we knew this was coming, it's still immensely sad! Why must the creator of such a great show get ALS! He didn't do anything wrong! He made a lot of great episodes. Even in the shows downs (season 1 and 6), he was still able to make some great episodes (I know he wasn't really at the show in seasons 4-9A but it was him that made the show popular enough to go to those seasons.) R.I.P., at least you got to see 11 seasons of SpongeBob air. CheeseCrocker (talk) 18:46, October 13, 2018 (UTC)
Rest in peace Mr. Hillenburg. You created an excellent show and you will always be remembered by many. Such a shame to see you go. You will be dearly missed. Tyler730 20:49, November 27, 2018 (UTC)

Characters crying over Hillenburg's death
Devon5432 04:11, November 27, 2018 (UTC)
Stephen Hillenburg has been one of the greatest writers of television history. All the way back to 1999, many shows slowly come and go. However, still surviving today in 2018, SpongeBob has a great history of setting new records on Nickelodeon and television history, such as longest running NickToon, longest season in TV history, and one of the longest running series in general. He has encouraged to create the greatest era (seasons 1-3), two amazing movies, and then the Renaissance of SpongeBob (season 9A-11). However, even show creators has to have their time to come up soon, and it's sadder when the show is still active. Stephen will be completely missed, and without him, there would be no SpongeBob and who knows how Nick would continue to survive. We wish you and your family the best of luck for the future and SpongeBob will still always be remembered for the years to come, even if Nickelodeon goes out of business.

It seems goofy, but I saw SpongeBob for the first time, I saw myself in him. Something about his confidence and his happiness just connected with me on a personal level. I stopped being a superfan of the show a long time ago, but I still watch it every now and then. Not a day goes by where I don't remember all the laughs the show used to bring me. Stephen Hillenburg was an amazing man with a true passion for marine life, and for the arts. I can't thank him enough for creating such a lovable character. Sponge2001 21:09, November 27, 2018 (UTC)

Stephen Hillenburg was a man full of passion. He had an incredible sense of humor that he represented through SpongeBob. He was a gifted and really great guy in general. I've watched SpongeBob for about 10 years, and have never gotten tired of it. Stephen was truly a master at humor and storytelling. My prayers go to his family and friends. May you rest in peace, Stephen. You really were #1. PhazerGazer5000 9:47 PM, November 27, 2018 (UTC)

I've known SpongeBob for all my life, since I was about 2. The mastermind behind SpongeBob, Stephen Hillenburg, was a creative genius, and A LEGEND! Thank you Stephen, for all the great laughs over the years. Justauser123 4:16 PM, November 27, 2018 (CST)

F is for... anyway, Hillenburg also helped shape my childhood; thinking about how loved he is and how popular a spiritual successor of the mediocre-performing Rocko's Modern Life (which is also a classic now) has gotten reminds me of the freeze frame of Squidward at the end of Band Geeks. There will NEVER EVER be another cartoon like SpongeBob SquarePants. By the powers of naughtiness, I will forever command this particular drop of hot sauce to be really, really hot. Konnichiku 5:30 PM, November 27, 2018 (EST)
Here lies Squidward's hopes and dreams... and those of many others. Stephen Hillenburg was a legend, and I don't believe that anyone could ever create another cartoon just like he has done. Rest in peace, Ocean Man. JCDKid 5:38 PM, November 27, 2018 (EST)
I am shocked and heartbroken to hear Stephen Hillenburg has passed. And just before the show's 20th anniversary. He was the true heart and soul of SpongeBob. Steve was a truly incomparable legend. Now SpongeBob just won't be the same without him. And it won't be easy to continue the show without him. We'll miss ya, Steve. Ngh93 23:10, November 27, 2018 (UTC)
I miss him already, his name alone gives me memories of Seasons 1-3 and the amazing, nostalgic first movie back in good old 2004. I can't believe 2018 has been so cruel to us. I would have love to have gone Jellyfishing with him. User:Kirby's Air Raid 18:21, 27 November 2018 (EST)

This has easily been one of the most soul-crushing announcements I have ever had to hear. Stephen- the gift you have given to us simply cannot be praised enough. You've shaped the lives of countless childhoods, including my own. Spongebob was a staple of my life since I was a young child. So many moments of this show I remember, and it's all thanks to you. How could I Ever forget that epic ending of Band Geeks? Or Patrick's famous line in Big Pink Loser? The unforgettable riot that is Sailor Mouth? Incredibly heartbreaking to see one of the creators of my childhood shows to be gone. Stephen has incredible talent and being willing to help work on the show even after being diagnosed with the disease shows how much he really cared about the show. R.I.P. Stephen Hillenberg SpongeBob SquarePants was a huge part of my childhood. I've first watched SBSP at age 3, and I've been on ESB from 2014-2017. As of now, it's sad to see Hillenburg go. Alefikouhi 8:43 PM, November 27th, 2018 (UTC)
We've lost a lot of influential people recently, though I never thought it would be one of the people who created my childhood. It's really depressing and heartbreaking to see him go so early, the series won't be the same without him. I'm very proud of him for his accomplishments and how he never gave up on the show even after his diagnosis. Thank you Stephen for creating the cartoon that will never be replicated but his work will be an amazing legacy. Rest in peace, you'll be a great influence to generations of the future. CoolKarim 5:49 PM, November 27th, 2018 (PST)
Man this news got me hard when I first got the news from one of my friends on Discord. When SpongeBob first aired, I was just around 6 or 7 years old and I was still obsessed with The Rugrats. Once SpongeBob came into my life, that was my new obsession. SpongeBob will always remain as one of the longest running cartoons of all time and we owe that all to Hillenburg. And much respect to him for coming back around Season 9 to help get his own creation back on track after a few rough seasons (Season 6 and Season 7). Thanks for all of your awesome work and rest in piece. Say hi to Stan Lee for me. ZeoSpark 8:50 PM, November 27th, 2018 [EST]
Rest in peace, Stephen Hillenburg, who recently died of ALS. He is the creator of SpongeBob SquarePants and his creation has entertained millions of children and even adults alike. His legacy will never die. Jackninja5DipperGravityFalls (on Twitter) 8:24 AM, November 28th, 2018 (CST)
I remember when I first watched the show. I had fun. And while the show declined throughout the years, it wasn’t my fault that I enjoyed the show. I always waited for the next airing of SpongeBob each day. I would even watch memes of the show as well. I never thought that Stephen would die this soon even if he had ALS. Even up to now, I still watch the show. Even though the show become worse after the first three seasons, but rose up after season 9, it’s still an enjoyable show. My childhood would have not been made if it wasn’t for Hillenburg with his talent. Also, if you’re in heaven, I hope you are reading this now while you reflect. Rest in peace. Thank you for creating such a memorable, funny and amazing cartoon. Spongebob is a legenday cartoon, and it's name will last for generations and generations. Even after the lower seasons like Season 7, it was you who came and made the show amazing again - you were one of the most talented people in the Spongebob crew, and will always be a legend. R.I.P Stephen Hillenburg, one of the most legendary and talented cartoon creators to exist. LunalaMoon18 12:32PM November 28th, 2018 [UTC+10]
R.I.P. to an absolute legend. I've been a fan of SpongeBob since I was in diapers, so the news of his passing hit me real hard. SpongeBob has been more than just a show to me. SpongeBob is a part of my life. I've seen every episode of the series at least once. I remember watching the show every day after school, and on Saturday mornings.

I was devastated enough when I first heard of Hillenburg's ALS diagnosis in 2017, but I honestly refused to believe it. Today, we lost someone truly special. My heart goes out to his family, and other SpongeBob fans during this difficult time. Thank you, Mr. Hillenburg. I'll always be a goofy goober.

Thank you for creating the legendary cartoon SpongeBob Squarepants. I've been a fan since I was like 6 and watched it everyday. Not only me, all of my siblings which also grown-ups also watched this cartoon everyday. Everybody knows SpongeBob SquarePants is. Even my mom watch it sometimes. From babies to adults, everyone know this cartoon. The impact of the cartoon in my childhood was priceless. I know, even the series have its ups and downs, this series is still amazing. People still love it. This year we have lost a lot of legendaries such as Stan Lee and Aretha Franklin, but the death of Stephen Hillenburg hits me hard into the heart. This year is such a devastating year for me, I've lost a lot of someone special like my grandfather and you, Mr.Hillenburg. Thank you for creating the world's childhood. I was obsessed with SpongeBob as a kid, and that's what I was known for during my early school years. Thanks to Stephen's ability of making a cartoon of this level, he inspires me to do something like that, but there will never be someone like him again. He was gone from us too soon, but his work will live on and its impact can be felt for generations to come. RIP Stephen Hillenburg, and a huge thank you for forming my childhood. If it had not been for you and your beloved character, my childhood would not have been the same, Stephen. Along Dora the Explorer and The Fairly OddParents, SpongeBob SquarePants was one of my favorite cartoons and would be forever one of my favorite cartoons. Perhaps you are gone, but your legacy will live with the iconic character you created, who surely will live for countless generations. I'm sure that you will have an homage in the upcoming third movie, and I'm sure that you would have loved to see it. You will always live in our hearts and in the pinnacle under the sea! I enjoyed watching your show when it was started a long time ago in my country (Philippines) on Nick Asia in late-2000's, then you started dominating the free-to-air television around 2002 started at Studio 23 (now Sports and Action), then moved to RPN 9 (now CNN Philippines), and until now, I never stopped enjoyed watching your creation even on the internet. But it seems that you've reached your limit on your creation. And its really saddened me that you've joined our creator today. Thank you for giving us Laughter, Drama, Action, and everything that you've shown through Spongebob Squarepants, and us Filipinos here will never forget that you and your creation will ALWAYS BE A PART OF OUR CHILDHOOD. From the Philippines "SALAMAT AT PAALAM PO, MARAMING SALAMAT SIR STEPHEN HILLENBURG! MABUHAY PO KAYO AND DIOS MABALOS" (English: "Thanks and goodbye, Thank you for everything Mr. Stephen Hillenburg! LONG LIVE AND GOD BLESS YOU."). Hamham31 3:01 PM, November 27th, 2018 (Philippine Standard Time)
Spongebob Squarepants has had a profoundly positive impact on my life, and it wouldn't have existed with Stephen. From growing up watching it when it first aired to seeing the original movie in theaters it was always a good time. It even brought me closer to my cousin when we drifted apart. The characters manage to not only fulfill stereotypes ripe for parody, but often show heartwarming honesty and outrageous absurdity that is not always a requirement when it comes to producing content for children. Stephen wasn't solely responsible for the show's content, but his absence is noticed in later episodes and versions of the show, and I wish he'd stayed on longer, but even though I'm not a viewer of the later stuff, I know that Spongebob, and the rest of the memorable characters that he created continue to entertain beyond what even he could have imagined for them.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Hillenburg.

You were one of the greats and you were taken from us too soon

Words can't be enough to thank you Stephen. Spongebob brought joy and happiness to my childhood. In my early years I always wanted to get home from school so I could watch the show before lunch, and always had a great time, lots of laughters I had. It was my favorite show and even my grandfather who passed away this year, loved the show so much because he was a navy captain, and liked everything about the sea creatures. I remember my first drawings of Spongebob and pals, it was a fun thing to do, to have plushes and toys from the show, it meant the world to me, and now with 22 years old you have no idea how much I appreciate this characters, they were like brothers to me growing up as a only daughter, I never was alone because of Spongebob. First of all, I extend my Condolences and Prayers to his family, who are in grief. My grief is all that is inside me after his death. Thank you, because without him, our childhood life is empty. DIOS MABALOS PO SA INDO (Long live and may God bless you), Stephen Hillenburg. He was like Walt Disney in a way, and I won't ever forget him, even though we never met. Shouty the Penguin November 28, 2018 at 1:34 PM EST
He was one of my favorite authors of the animation world, along with Matt Groening, I loved SpongeBob SquarePants since pre-adolescence, I still love him and I will continue to love, I love the pre-movie episodes created by him, just like those early post-movie, I am very sorry, rest in peace, you will always remain in my memories and memories of all the SpongeBob fans in the world. It will probably take years for me to get used to the death of Stephen Hillenburg. It wouldn’t be the person I am today without Spongebob. And to know that the creator of this imaginative world is now gone...just shatters my heart. Rest In Peace Stephen...may the light guide your way. Trengal November 28, 2018 at 9:53 (UTC)
Stephen Hillenburg and his creations were more of an inspiration to me throughout my life than I could ever comprehend. I started watching SpongeBob when I got one of the DVDs as a birthday present when I turned a year old, and I've loved the show with every fiber of my being ever since. I thank you very, very dearly for all the wit, humor, heart and wonderful creations you've graced this world with, in its time of need and otherwise. I sincerely hope you have a good time, up in the great beyond. <3 LightningLarryLuciano2 November 29, 2018 at 12:43 AM (UTC)
Stephen Hillenburg was a superb person with a golden heart, who had overseen the wondrous first 3 seasons and the just as enjoyable, animation-filled 2.5/3.5 seasons of modern time. It is heartbreaking to see him go, as I did not think he would fall so easily. It is very tragic he is gone, and we have lost yet another phenomenal person off the face of this Earth. Goodbye Mr. Hillenburg, we'll miss you :(. I hope you'll be commemorated in the show. :'(  EmpressYzma (MCE)  November 29, 2018 at 1:06 AM (UTC)
This is very sad news indeed. He was such a great creator; he worked on Rocko's Modern Life first, then SpongeBob; it made Nickelodeon what it is. There will never be another cartoon like SpongeBob; it's a masterpiece. I'm very sad to hear such tragic news. At least SpongeBob will continue, but it won't be the same without Hillenburg; just watchin' the show feels different, knowing that Hillenburg's dead. That's all I have to say. Expert at Terraria November 29, 2018 at 1:58 AM (UTC)
Very unfortunate to have died so early. Without you, the SpongeBob SquarePants characterizations for all the characters in the series will never be the same. I hope SpongeBob SquarePants still is a good show after your many many years of true dedication to bringing back the joy of sea creatures to everyone in the world. But I doubt SpongeBob SquarePants show would get any better after your death. Qwertyxp2000 II (talk | contribs) 02:52, November 29, 2018 (UTC) 02:52, November 29, 2018 (UTC)
Stephen Hillenburg was the mastermind who has brought joy to the hearts of SpongeBob and Rocko fans, and we're thankful for that. Without him, we wouldn't have had the greatest cartoon in all of Earth. Thank you very much for your contributions, and rest in peace. BoyInCharge55 November 28, 2018 at 9:55 PM (EST)

Thanks for making me some of the best childhood memories ever!! Your family, as well as all the hard-working crew of the show, should be proud of what you will always be remembered for. And, while you did die on a certainly young age, we fans will make sure to spread the word about your few, but effective achievements in your life. R.I.P. Childhood was awesome because of Stephen, and the memes from teenagehood gave me a blast from the past. And, I realize that the show taught me a few things (It took me until this year to find out you were a Marine Biologist-- cool profession by the way). When I was still a toddler, I even decided to dress up as Spongebob for Halloween because I thought he was so cool. Even my parents were able to enjoy Spongebob back when it first premiered with my brothers. We'll never forget you. Tell Stan Lee we said hello and that we miss you both dearly. The show's going to feel a lot different, but that does not make it lose its charm. Warmest regards. Skiddley-Riddley (talk) 12:34, November 29, 2018 (CST)

It's difficult for me to say more beyond what's already been said. Steve was a pioneer and doesn't get as much credit as he deserves. He created a character as distinctive as Mickey Mouse. His creation reached and delighted millions of people. A history-maker. Spongebob456 (talk) 19:55, November 29, 2018 (UTC)
You knocked it out of the park with this show, my friend. If not for Spongebob, I don't know where I'd be today. I'd probably be one of those edgy teenage f(dolphin noises)s that hates their parents and cuts their wrist when they get bored. Also, thank you for writing "Jet Scream". Words cannot describe the impact Stephen Hillenburg has had on my life and Cartoon history. The fact that one single cartoon could influence so much of the animation industry and pop culture is astounding. It's been my all time favorite show for my entire life and I've actually memorized every single episode's title, season, and the number in the season. I'm not mentioning this to make the tragedy my brag fest but just to add context to how much influence and character his creation has gave me. I sadly was never able to meet him, which is so unfortunate due to how much he has made me who I am today. No matter what he will never be forgotten, and my heart goes out to his family and every single SpongeBob fan on the Planet. RIP Stephen Hillenburg 1961-2018. I am completely speechless about the events that have occurred recently. I would have never thought that this would happen to Mr. Hillenburg, even if he was diagnosed with the disease last year. Although all of the users above have probably said everything for me, I still want to offer my sincere condolences. I also grew up with SpongeBob, and I still can't believe that its creator is gone. What is heartwarming is the sheer number of users here who have united to prepare a wonderful memorial for Mr. Hillenburg. I am certain that SpongeBob will never be forgotten in the future, nor will the life of Mr. Hillenburg. You were a wonderful and creative show producer, and we will all honor the spirit of SpongeBob and your life for a very long time. Rest in peace... The news hit me hard in school; walking away from my biology class my friend told me of Hillenburg's passing. I was and still am a major fan of Spongebob, and grew up in an era where Youtube Reviews were almost nonexistent. Back then, for some reason, my parents let me watch Spongebob, and I loved it. I watched it around when seasons 5-7 were new though, although we had the DVDs of the first three seasons. Spongebob wasn't like all the kids' shows I watched, rather it was more simple, yet so much more complicated. That childish charm still remains even if you're in high school, which is a feat of its own. Stephen Hillenburg created these characters, it's simple premise, and now a community reminiscing about it. He will be missed. [2] December 1st, 2018

Stephen Hillenburg, Thank you so much for picking up on Season 12 and on the third movie. We all gonna missed Stephen Hillenburg so very much because we're all sad. But all the kids will love Spongebob Squarepants and even as families. And I even watched Spongebob Squarepants: The First 100 Episodes on DVD box set. But I rather it was more simple, and better yet we are charming from that remains, and even if you're a great creator. Stephen Hillenburg will created the characters and even a show whatever you like since he was a childhood. And now, I pronounced that Stephen Hillenburg is passed away for good. Rest in peace and rise in glory. Goodbye, Stephen Hillenburg and happy trails. You will be missed. (1961-2018) ⚰️🌹 Brandonmcabee

I loved Stephen's work on Rocko's Modern Life before SpongeBob even came out. His amazing artistic ability and smart sense of humor shined through every project he touched. He was not only responsible for two of my all-time favorite shows, but for countless moments of happiness. SpunkyRocko 01:21, December 2, 2018 (UTC)
I was watching season 1 when my brother told me. This HIT me HARD! I loved this show, and the creator passed, and it might not be the same, even if it is not as good as seasons 1-4. Season 12 is gonna be a changed season, but to honor Stephen Hillenburg, they should boost the quality. FarmerBob is out, haven't seen it, but it was Stephen Hillenburg's last episode. Please, Nickelodeon, please boost your quality. Im not asking for season 1 quality, but just do better. Make everyone pround. Make Stephen Hillenburg proud. isilverskeleton December 1st, 2018. 10:04 (Central Standard Time)
Spongebob was and still is my all time favorite show. When I was young I really didn't care who made the shows, but as I grew up, came to appreciate them. Stephen Hillenburg made my childhood great, even when I was sad and down, a episode of my favorite sea sponge would cheer me up. I grew up for years watching not only Spongebob but Nickelodeon as whole. Some of my greatest memories as a kid are from watching and sometimes recreating scenes from Spongebob. I played the video games based off of the show for years and one of my all time favorites is Lights Camera Pants. I remember getting up early on Saturdays to play Battle for Volcano Island one of the greatest things about that game was the Sponge. I wish I could say thank you to him in person but I wasn't lucky enough to meet him. I happened to see most of the main cast though including Tom Kenny so that was nice. If I was able to meet him I would say thank you for the hours of entertainment and joy this simple little sponge gave us. We lost a lot of great people in 2018 Stephen Hillenburg, Stan Lee and Stefan Karl to name a few. But we shouldn't let their deaths stop us, we should keep moving forward and keep honoring them by enjoying their property. So from the bottom of my heart thank you Stephen Hillenburg for creating the nautical world of Spongebob and for fueling my childhood. SkateyTheMatey 12:45 AM (0045), December 4, 2018 (EST)

Honestly this was a shock for me. Because one day before the legend passed-away, we actually called our friend from class (his name) Squarepants, because it was his nickname when he was much younger. We all got in shock when we found out about the tragic news that the head of the whole existence of SpongeBob series is actually gone. I hope Sir Hillenburg is now resting and looking down at us, wanting us to stay strong and keep making SpongeBob even bigger and better future on! I am sorry for the late post, but I will miss you, Stephen Hillenburg. I am grateful that you created SpongeBob SquarePants, my favorite cartoon. I hope you are in heaven now. Cheetos8089 January 5th, 2019
I remember myself as a kid, watching SpongeBob on DVD so many times (they say it was almost 5 hours a day or more) that I ended up having a nightmare.

Just kidding, but seriously, I do not know how my childhood would have been without the creation of Stephen Hillenburg. Some of the cartoons of the 2000s (and unfortunately most of today's cartoons) focus on bathroom humor and marketing (cheap McDonald's toys) to make studios profiteer with their cheap and safe creations for toddlers. However, SpongeBob was different, with a largely harmless and rather clever humor and interesting plots. His characters are distinct from each other and even a little deep, and give me intense laughter that often irritates my parents. And best of all is that SpongeBob has such thoughtful jokes that remain funny even after the fan has grown. I just have to thank Stephen for putting a huge smile on my face during my childhood. You have created a remarkable and friendly character. Terrible reboots will be light years away from the genius of SpongeBob SquarePants innocent humor for quite some time. Many thanks Stephen, thank you very much, I think it would be a depressing otaku without its revolutionary creation. SpongeBob was one of my influences to write children's stories!

We will miss you. Edit: Godspeed, you magnificent man! Edit; 18 days, 23 minutes, and 23 seconds later: SpongeBob became a part of my childhood since 2010, when I was 4 years old, I became obsessed with it. I love this show even 9 years after I and my grandmother (on my mom's side) started loving it.
