Viacom

This page has had only 19 edits since its creation, and with the lack of edits, it has broken various rules in the wiki's Manual of style and looks like a page that would be on a new wiki. Mabye on Encyclopedia Quackeria, but on this wiki? Nah. If an admin doesn't clean this up ASAP, It needs to close. Also, I should acknowledge that this has pretty nuch nothing to do with Spongebob, so it shouldn't be here anyway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mind Luxor (wallcontribs). • Remove Remove - We don't need an article on Viacom, we can simply link to the Wikipedia article when needed. TheKorraFanatic (Talk Page) (Contributions) (Guestbook) 18:26, March 9, 2019 (UTC)

  • Neutral Neutral - The page quality is really bad but it's kind of a relevant topic. Viacom is mentioned by name in "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V" and I see the company name on all of the SpongeBob merchandise. I know there might be people who watch this episode or buy the merchandise and want to read about why Viacom is related to the show. Just a thought, I have no strong feelings on this to be honest. 15 Sheldon J. Dankton (Talk!) 15 20:25, March 9, 2019 (UTC)
  • Keep Keep - As much as I hate Viacom, I say keep only because the show has directly referenced Viacom. - Jensonk

  • Remove Remove - A page on nick makes sense, but not this. Regawin (talk) 14:47, March 10, 2019 (UTC)
  • Neutral Neutral - Keep Keep - if its peripheral subsidiaries can exist, this should too.

  • Neutral Neutral leaning towards -Remove - Korra brings up a good point but I don't mind it being here. --BoopEsponjaSignature 15:55, March 10, 2019 (UTC)
  • Keep Keep - it's relevant. — AMK152 (Wall • Contrib) 20:12, March 11, 2019 (UTC)
  • Keep Keep - Per keepers. --CheeseCrocker (talk) 21:52, March 11, 2019 (UTC)
  • Remove Remove - Viacom is horrible and should not have a page! (let's set joke aside per Korra).  Bots22 (TBCE) Squid {{{1}}}
  • Keep Keep - Per AMK152 and others. I know everyone hates Viacom because its name is on the YouTube takedowns but this is the company that owns the entire show and without it, SpongeBob wouldn't exist. It's even said aloud in the show so I agree it is relevant. Squidbobfever (talk) 10:43, March 12, 2019 (UTC)
  • Remove Remove - As new as I am, I agree with Korra and Regawin. Nimmy25 (talk) 15:03, March 12, 2019 (UTC)
  • Keep Keep - I actually don't really think the Wikipedia article explains why Viacom's relevant to SpongeBob when it really is. I think we need a page to say how it is "directly referenced" in the episode and makes all the toys etc. Apalforsb (talk) 16:36, March 12, 2019 (UTC)
  • Remove Remove -We can just link the Wikipedia page, there is no point for this page and it looks very unclean. -EmeraldKik
  • Keep Keeeeeep - Viewssignature2022
  • Keep Extremely Strong Keep - Viacom's name is on literally every SpongeBob thing: episode/movie/short credits, all merchandise, all the games, that has ever existed. We have 20,157 pages which includes a whole lot of random galleries no one will look for like the Krusty Krab kitchen's upper-left condiment cabinet (one page per episode) so I think one page about this important topic is needed. People will actually look for it in my opinion. Squidward9tv (talk) 14:50, March 13, 2019 (UTC)

  • I know what you are thinking about MM&BB, but if they saw the episode and then wanted to know the links, they would go to the page for the epiosde. BOOM! Nimmy25 (talk) 16:48, March 12, 2019 (UTC)
    • That doesn't make very much sense though, cause the episode doesn't explain what Viacom is, it just mentions it. That quote from the episode kind of expects the viewers to know what it is since it's on all the SpongeBob toys. Apalforsb (talk) 22:25, March 12, 2019 (UTC)
