User requesting chat moderator: DanzxvFan8275 Date discussion closed: April 6, 2017 Result of discussion: Successful.
a. Why do you believe you are qualified to be promoted to this position?
I am very active in the chat, especially recently where there were a lot of trolls in the chat. I report any bad conduct in the chat I see. I also know the rules and know when to warn/kick/ban when needed. I am also friendly in the chat and try to help users that need it.
b. Have you had experience with this position before?
I am a discussion moderator on the Head Soccer Wiki and the SML Wiki, and am an admin on several other wikis where I am in the chat often. Both of these rights have the chat mod rights.
c. What are your best contributions to Encyclopedia SpongeBobia and why?
In my opinion, my best contributions are mechanic fixes and organizing galleries. I also make other edits like expanding stubs and adding information. If there is an edit that needs to be done, I am there to help.
d. How do you plan to use your rights if your request is successful?
I will keep my eye out for any users misbehaving in the chat. When someone does something against the chat policy, I will use my powers to act on it.
e. Have you been in a situation in which you needed the user rights for this position at that moment but were unable to act?
Yes. I have to report any bad conduct I see to any moderators that are online.
f. Is there anything else you want to add?
I think enough time has passed to show what I am really made of. I have been putting extra effort into my behavior and activity, and I think I have shown a lot of good faith. I am very friendly to users in the chat and I have a good understanding of what to do and when to do it. Most trolls recently have been on at times where there were either no mods or when they are away, which is always a bad thing. During this time, I am active on the chat and I report the case to mods that might be active on the wiki at that time, but not on chat. As a chat moderator, I could act quickly so there is less rule-breaking that could occur. Please vote what you think you should. I will consider all of the concerns and I will work on trying to becoming an even better user. I think I could show what I am really made of if I become a chat moderator, and I think I can try my best to become the best I can be. DanzxvFan8275 (M•C•U•E) 22:08, March 30, 2017 (UTC)
Support - One of the best candidates right now. He is usually on chat when there are no other mods and active enough to earn the right. The most expensive boss, Alex.sapre (talk) 00:18, March 31, 2017 (UTC)
Strong Support - I definitely do trust him – he has good judgement of distinguishing between good and bad. Qwertyxp2000 II (talk | contribs) 03:14, March 31, 2017 (UTC)

Extremely Strong Support - Yeah I know its been used a ton on this request already and its almost lost its value, but what else can I say? You're an amazing user, on chat, and on wiki. As much of a record you've had back then, I think it's time to give that a rest. Other than the global block, which was ages ago, everything else would be crossing to other wikis, which is absolutely awful and always said to be unwanted. You're a really nice user and you're very active. You have my full support. Sponge o' Mystery (Depth Strider 10) 09:11, March 31, 2017 (UTC)

Neutral leaning towards Oppose - Well, I will say you are active, and you have shown good faith. I would have given you my 100% support if I had not stumbled upon this. Staff had to intervene, because of an edit war full of attacks. As well all know, a chat moderator needs to keep their cool when dealing with situations. I bring this up because we want people who demonstrate good behavior across all wikis, not just here. I am not going to fully oppose because part of me believes you would be really good, but the other half is unsure. -TheOneFootTallBrickWall 22:40, March 31, 2017 (UTC)
Comment - From what I saw on that thread, Dan did a good job on handling the situation. He kept his cool, and apologized for his mistakes. Also, judging by your logic that we need people who demonstrate good behavior across all wikis, Depth should not be an administrator here because he got himself banned from Community Central chat. trevorontariowcclickme
Comment - I am sorry, but if a staff member has to intervene there must be a problem. Depth got banned from chat, staff never had to come and talk to him. "keeping his cool," do you mean when they were vandalizing each other's pages, or when Kirkburn had to ask what was happening? -TheOneFootTallBrickWall 06:04, April 1, 2017 (UTC)
Comment - I am sorry, but at least Dan was unaware what he was doing was wrong, and stopped immediately. Depth was probably warned by staff/staff related people, and continued going on nonetheless. At least Dan didn't get any serious punishments from what he was doing. trevorontariowcclickme
Comment - I'm pretty sure he means when Kirkburn came in. DanzxvFan8275 (M•C•U•E) 11:10, April 1, 2017 (UTC)
Comment - A chat ban is different from a Staff member asking you why you are vandalizing a users profile page.I don't get how he was unaware that he was doing something wrong. Also, Staff don't usually come on Community Central Chat unless it is during office hours. You cannot compare a chat ban to staff intervention. -TheOneFootTallBrickWall 17:06, April 1, 2017 (UTC)
