a. Why do you believe you are qualified to be promoted to this position?
i believe that i am qualified because of my experience and expertise. today marks five years since i first edited on esb. my old account, squiddleward, held user rights on this wiki for three years, including the administrator and bureaucrat positions. my history on wikia/fandom as a whole goes all the way back to 2010, when source mode was the only option, so i am very well versed in html and more than willing to help users learn it.
b. Have you had experience with this position before?
yes. on my old account, i was promoted to assistant in december 2015. i was later promoted to administrator and bureaucrat, but i kept all of the rights associated with the assistant position all the way up until my resignation in november 2018.
c. What are your best contributions to Encyclopedia SpongeBobia and why?
you see my work all the time! i made this wiki's logo and most of its voting icons. more recently, my work on signatures, tutorials, and templates has helped make html design more accessible, and i'm currently assisting a bureaucrat with plans for a template design overhaul. in terms of article editing only, my best contributions have to do with consistency. even very minor fixes like placing quotes around an episode title can go a long way in how readers perceive the quality of this wiki.
d. How do you plan to use your rights if your request is successful?
i will fix any mistakes i see on protected pages, protect and unprotect pages when necessary, and open up my wall for users to ask that such actions be performed. while i don't actively monitor the status of merge and separation requests, i am willing to step in and archive them if necessary.
e. Have you been in a situation in which you needed the user rights for this position at that moment but were unable to act?
yes, many times and for a variety of reasons. most of them have been about mistakes i found on protected pages. there have also been cases of repeated vandalism where protecting the target page would have helped to reduce the damage until an administrator could intervene.
f. Is there anything else you want to add?
before you oppose because i barely meet the article edit requirement, please think about all the work being done behind the scenes that goes into how articles look and work. i'm talking about infoboxes, navboxes, tables, maintenance notices, and other templates used on articles that are central to my html design work. and before you tell me to "give it more time," remember that former administrators can be repromoted right away with the approval of two bureaucrats. i could have looked for a shortcut, but i chose to work my way back up legitimately.

Well thank you! I'm far too lazy to write an essay detailing and linking to every bad thing you've ever done. Plus I'm not wasting my time writing an essay in a section that half you people just scroll past anyways. I'm just here to drop an extremely strong oppose like you hinted at in this thread reply. Like you said, a few people casually leave supports as evidenced above. Well sorry I'm not one of those "casual people." I think you are fine as a regular user. - Jensonk
