Welcome to our proposals page. Here at Encyclopedia SpongeBobia, we value everyone's opinion and encourage everyone to take part in proposals. We want everyone to give their ideas, so that we can make Encyclopedia SpongeBobia the best it can be.
As per our proposals procedures, this page serves as a list to display all current and archived proposals for everyone's reference. The ongoing proposals indicate that the proposal is still open, and contributors are encouraged to participate.
Shortcut
Start proposal
- 1. Replace TOPIC with the topic of proposal to be discussed or the topic of proposal to be voted, depending on the stage of your proposal.
- 2. Click on the "Concerns Stage" button or the "Voting Stage" button, depending on the stage of your proposal.
- 3. Fill out the information on the resulting page, then save the page.
- 4. Copy and paste the following under "requests" of this page, replacing "TOPIC" with the topic name:
- Example: [[ESB:Proposals/TOPIC]]
- 5. When the proposal is created, use Template:Proposal-list to add the new proposal to the list below.
- Note: Forward slashes (/) cannot be present in the proposal topic. Having one or more forward slashes in the topic name will interfere with the creation of concerns and the voting stage.
- Policy changes Per the proposal policy, any policy proposal requires the exact language to be changed by the time of the voting stage, otherwise it will be closed as invalid. Use {{PolicyProposalBegin}} and {{PolicyProposalEnd}} to mark the start and end of the proposed changes. If you need help, contact a user familiar with the process.
Key to list
Here is a key to the list of proposals:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | The title of the proposal; it will always be descriptive, so that everyone knows what the proposal is about based on the title. |
| Opened | Gives the date in which the proposal began, along with who started the proposal. |
| Closed | Gives the date in which the proposal was closed, along with the person who closed the proposal, as per the proposal policies. Typically, it is the person closing the proposal that implements the result of the proposal, if passed. |
| Result | The outcome of the proposal. Proposals that fail to pass may be modified for a future proposal.
