Before anybody is saying this isn't possible or we need to see if FANDOM can do it, please look at this screenshot from a email I got back when I attempted to contact FANDOM staff about this case:

The discussion moderator right currently consists of two privileges: the ability to moderate threads or forums, and the ability to moderate the live chat on this wiki. The chat moderator right, while, on the other hand the chat moderator right can only moderate the live chat. I feel like the discussion moderator right should only be here to moderate discussions, threads, and forums. There shouldn't be a chat moderator right inserted into it. Therefore, I think both the chat moderator and discussion moderator right should be separated. FANDOM has said it is possible to remove chat moderation from discussion moderator, and that helps.

Chat moderation being in the discussion moderator right also prevents people who want to moderate threads and forums to moderate because of the policy saying you need to be a chat moderator for two months, and in order for that, you need to be active. Some people who are reliable to moderate discussions are unable to because they would need to be a chat moderator in order to be a discussion moderator. So in order to prevent this, we can remove chat moderator privileges from discussion moderator. If this proposal passes, we will contact FANDOM on removing the chat moderator rights on discussion moderator and separate the two moderator rights.

Also if this proposal passes, we will have to do the following on the ESB:Requests for discussion moderator page:

a.The user must be a current chat moderator for at least two (2) months. At least one month has passed since the user's first edit.

b.The user must have at least two hundred (200) edits, of which at least one hundred (100) are board thread edits. The user must have at least two hundred and fifty (250) board thread edits.

c. The user must have a clean block record for at least three (3) months, not counting invalid blocks.

d. The user must have support from a majority of all administrators.

e. The user must have support from a majority of all bureaucrats. If the request fails to do so, it requires 75% support of administrators who are not bureaucrats for the request to pass unless otherwise stated.
