*{{Oppose}} That thing in "[[Can You Spare a Dime?]]" is an oversight, and absolutely qualifies as an error; no reasoning is given and it is just blatantly ignored. Not being picky on cartoon logic (for example, "how can fire be underwater?") is already in the manual of style. --[[User:The gamer 987654321|The gamer 987654321]] ([[User talk:The_gamer_987654321|talk]]) 09:37, June 26, 2020 (UTC)

Proposal

EmilyHReturns is proposing the following:

I thought removing entries enlisted under the "Errors" section that are just one-off gags done for a short time or purposely defy the logic of reality were commonplace to remove, but apparently that's not true, which is why I'm making a proposal.

Anyway, one-off gags or stuff that purposely contradicts the outcome of what would happen if the event occurred in real life are completely intentional and do not constitute as errors in any way because it's a cartoon and can defy logic as much as it likes. Stuff like Squidward being shown with his paintings stuck in his stomach only to disappear seconds later in "Can You Spare a Dime?," Squidward's nose being ripped off in "Clams" only to return in the next scene, and Patrick losing an arm only to grow it back later are nothing more than gags done purposely for the sake of contradicting continuity and are intentionally defiant to real-life logic, and as such they don't qualify.  EmilyHReturns (MCBE)  11:05, June 18, 2020 (UTC)

  • Support Support - Removing this type of trivia/errors should be common sense.  Figmeister (WCE)  04:23, June 26, 2020 (UTC)
  • Support yes - idk why this wasn't a thing before. Idroppedmypen ★  Donnieicon04:28, June 26, 2020 (UTC)
  • Support Very Strong Support - I'm surprised this even needed a proposal. Cartoons don't follow reality logic; the only things that constitute as errors are inconsistency in dialogue and animation.  EmilyHReturns (MCBE)  04:28, June 26, 2020 (UTC)
